Description

Make informed decisions about buying domains fast so you never miss another domain auction again.

Buying domains is more than business transactions, it's fun. But it can be difficult to keep up with the ins and outs. And GoDaddy — the largest domain registrar in the world — is making it easier than ever for you to enjoy investing in domains by helping you keep up with the necessary ins and outs of domain bidding. GoDaddy Investor gives you an in by alerting you of expiring domains so you can get your bid made quickly. It's the easiest way to invest in domains, run by the world's largest domain registrar, and now you can do it all on your iPhone or iPad.

GoDaddy Investor streamlines the domain investing process by making it fast and simple. Place a bid and know instantly if you're the highest bidder — or if you've been outbid. You can create a watchlist, then track your auctions in real time. Place proxy bids if you like. And for added peace-of-mind, authenticate your bids using Touch ID or Face ID.

A serious domain investor knows the more data they have, the better and more informed the choice they can make. With GoDaddy Investor you can view each domain's auction history — including the number of bidders and how much they've bid. Never lose an auction again with notifications to let you know when one that you're watching or bidding on is about to end. And if you get outbid, you'll find out instantly, allowing you to up your stakes or pull them up.

If that all wasn't enough, one game changer is GoDaddy's GoValueTM tool. With it you can determine the estimated appraisal of the domain you're buying or selling, giving you an edge on the competition. Now you can estimate before you buy whether the domain you want is a steal or overpriced, and when you resell it later, you'll be in a better position to price it.

Don't miss out. Get GoDaddy Investor today and dive into the fun world of domain watching and buying.

More features please 😊

I honestly like the app and the ability to watch auctions I've already started bidding on but adding the ability to search through current auctions would really make this app a 100times better!

App does not function in the last few minutes of an auction

So today I noticed there was an auction for a domain name that I needed, not a prospector, it’s a domain name that I’ve been wanting for years. So I signed up with GoDaddy auctions, paid the fee and downloaded this app to my new iPhone and my new iPad. I did a test bid to make sure everything worked properly. When the auction go down to three minutes I tried to submit a significantly higher bid than what was in there currently. The app was unresponsive and then would close to home screen, the way a lot of apps did back in 2009. For three minutes I tried to submit a bid with perfect Internet on my iPad and iPhone and it kept dropping to the home screen and closing the app on both devices. In fact the last five minutes of the auction no one was able to place a bid at all. I asked someone else who had made contact about that domain name and was also bidding on it, and they said they were unable to place any bids as well. There was only six people total involved in the auction, it’s not like there were thousands of people making a mad dash for it like when Apple releases a new product. I called customer support and they say there’s nothing they will do. So basically now I’m going to be stuck having to buy this domain name for thousands of dollars from whatever prospector picked it up. I never should’ve relied on a GoDaddy product.

Either the app doesn't work or I don't get it

Downloaded the app and signed into my GoDaddy domain investors account. Nothing but blank screens. No search or anything. Ok, so I have to sign in through a desktop browser* and watch/favorite some auctions. Lame requirement, but I did it. I re-launch the GoDaddy app, still nothing. I sign out of the app and log into the app a few days later. STILL nothing. Log back into the web site from a desktop and I can see my favorites, no problem. So what am I missing here?

(BTW: The Domain investors desktop web site looks/works like it was developed by a high school intern doing a summer project [and should have been fired for it]. Terrible! *And I can't hit it from a mobile browser because safari/chrome quits trying saying "too many redirects." Probably won't extend this "Investors" service past this year.)
