Description
"Fast, simple, solid, and challenging"
—PocketGamer
Going Up is a strategy game where you control groups of lifts in a skyscraper to deliver passengers before they lose their patience. Optimise elevator movement as you deal with a fussy cast of passengers—impatient CEOs, mean soldiers and confused tourists. There is no one solution to elevator optimisation: every stage will have its unique bottlenecks, passengers and problems.
Can you keep people moving, or will they have to take the stairs?
• Deliver your passengers: manage elevators in a skyscraper to deliver passengers up and down to their destinations as efficiently as possible.
• Adapt to complex situations: learn to manage increasingly complicated systems of lifts, from multiple lifts, to lifts that operate on different sets of floors, to lifts that completely skip floors.
• Placate fussy characters: deal with a cast of seven unique characters, from impatient CEOs to mean soldiers to confused tourists. Learn their behaviours to score the greatest number of points from each of them.
• Rack up high scores: compete on a global leaderboard to gain the most points in each level.
• Ascend the mysterious skyscraper: discover different environments on each level, playing with different sets of lifts as you climb to the very top.
• Play on the go: play one handed, while commuting, queuing in line, or waiting for the lift. Every round lasts at most a few minutes.

Ratings and Reviews
Editors’ Notes
Juggle impatient passengers by efficiently moving elevators in this minimalist mix of puzzling and strategy.
i want to rate it 2/3
i want to give it a lower rating but don’t want to damage the score because the game is pretty fun and super cute but i’m stuck on the arcadia level for like threeeee days and even when i get double points on mostly everyone and the tourists too it took me a while to figure out they have to go with the people with the flags, i still can’t get the 40 points because the 3rd janitor comes way too soon sometimes when i only have 20 points. :/ maybe there’s a glitch or error in the code for this level
Developer Response ,
Thanks for the feedback! I've taken in feedback and have made Arcadia easier, and overall made the janitor's behaviour more predictable. Really appreciate the time you took to comment and, I hope you are able to reach 40 points and complete the game.
I(almost) really like it, but
The janitors are a big source of friction that feels really at odds with the rest of the gameplay. For the rest of the passengers, you’re working out an efficient flow and helping them navigate the tower, but when the janitors appear you’re playing a meta game where you’re trying to hold them off long enough to earn more points without letting them penalize you.
Sometimes he shows so quickly you can barely get two stars before you start losing points. Then the run feels less like something you could have improved, and more like “oh, I guess the game just wanted to stop”
*That said* the premise and the rest of the game is groovy! I love managing the (non-janitor) characters and trying to balance lift car locations to move people as fast as possible.
If we can find a way to re-balance the janitors, or maybe have different game modes with other challenges, this game could truly be one of my favorites
Developer Response ,
Thanks for playing! I've done a bit of balancing to make the janitor more predictable. I did design the janitor to ensure each run does not stretch on indefinitely, but I understand the feeling that sometimes his spawning is too quick and unpredictable. I will continue to think about how to provide a better playing experience. Love your suggestion of different game modes, I will certainly consider it. Thank you again for playing and taking the time to comment about my game.
