GoldGun is an audio game – no visual content – where you play the adventures of Soren, a police officer investigating cybercriminal activity in the deep web.
The game is presented in a cinematic like experience and it is delivered through seven episodes, in a format similar to TV series. Each episode is launched every two or three months. The first episode (launch date 31st January 2019) is completely free, so everybody can play and enjoy it. The sounds in the game are implemented using 3D-audio in order to provide an immersive experience and playing with headphones is highly recommended. The game mechanics include the use of the gyroscope (tilt the phone to move) and tactile interface (swipe and tap actions to interact with objects).
The story is presented like a single-player narrative, with extensive voice acting and no use of voice-over software. Each episode includes a series of minigames, which grow in length and complexity as the story deepens and progresses in the future episodes.
Ratings and Reviews
potentially a great game.
this is potentially a great game, because it is a first time run it has a few drawbacks, but nothing that cannot be overcome.. your ideas are refreshingly new, this is very welcome in a gaming world for people with visual disabilities. I recently heard on a podcast that you have decided to stop production of GoldGun, I am so sorry to hear that. The reason they get is you’ve been trolled too hard by idiots on the Internet well, this I will tell you you need to grow the hide of an elephant if you want to be a developer in this day and age. I sincerely hope you change your mind. if you should decide to change your mind; and keep developing, you have a friend, and a person willing to pay for your great efforts. Thank you and good luck.
I am hooked
You guys did a great job on this. Storyline was amazing. I know this is just a pilot so, there will be more to go. I am really looking forward to finishing the story. The audio is fantastic. Gameplay functionality was easy to use. Keep up the great work guys.
It’s your first time, so I’ll be gentle
The game is ambitious, but the acting is awful, the gameplay feels like Simon says rather than the shooter that was promised, and the story is, well, an audio game story, nothing that warrants any kind of attention. The music is good, though, so at least you are making a game specifically about music because I am definitely looking forward to that one. However, as I said, since it is your first time, I will support this game fully nonetheless because I have absolutely no doubt that you put all of your heart and soul into this.
