Beautiful and true

This little book introduces the Bible to folks in a story fashion using beautifully done cartoons and a simplified yet true story line. Great for folks who’s first language is not English (and available another languages) or who have low reading skills. So just a great big picture view of the Bible story!

Huge misinterpretation canceled out all the good things about it.

I was kinda excited about this as a way for my preteens to make their way through the Bible to get a general idea of the story of salvation. However in the first chapter, I noticed something that I had never heard in any version I had read before so I pulled out my NAB translation of the Bible and found that the story of Noah after the flood to have been taken significantly out of context. While my NAB Bible said Noah had gotten drunk and been seen by his son who had gotten his brothers to cover their father, this version said his son “had found pleasure in it” even though the original text had not eluded to this. A parent’s job is to make sure to preserve scripture and make sure someone has not perverted it in their minds. I was excited that the app was completely free to anyone and might promote positive interest in an otherwise negative worldview of religion. Keep looking though because this isn’t it.
