The Good Neighbour App helps people who live near each other feel more connected and cared for. Without having to divulge phone numbers, email addresses or social media accounts to the public. There is no advertising and there is no unwanted noise. Just real connections between you and your neighbours. How “anti-social-media” social media works Unlike other social media apps, there is no way to have two way conversations on the Good Neighbour app. Someone brings up an idea and then people are invited to talk about it face to face or over the phone. This way, you and your neighbours build deeper relationships with each other! Connect The only way you can connect with others is to be near them. When you’re talking to a neighbour, ask: “Would you like to be a Good Neighbour with me?” Then touch phones and exchange Good Neighbour contacts. Meet Get to know your Neighbours by setting up face-to-face conversations. Create groups of your contacts to keep them organized, like “Book Club”, “Fishing Buddies” or “All Neighbours”. Belong See what activities you can RSVP, or create your own: News & Ideas: resolve neighbourhood-related issues, such as “The Old Tree is dying, what should we do? Meeting 7pm tomorrow my place to discuss.” Social: in-person gatherings like potlucks, BBQs or games night. Set topic, date, time and location.
