Goodpods is a fast-growing, award-winning, free podcast player and podcast discovery app featured by Fast Company, Inc. Magazine, and more! Listen to, discover, and share all your favorite podcasts and shows that haven’t yet hit your radar.

We started Goodpods for those moments when you're staring at your phone -- about to hop in the car or go for a run -- wondering what podcast to listen to next, wishing that someone would magically appear with a good recommendation. In other words… podcast paralysis!

And who better to get those recommendations from than friends who know you best or people you admire? This already exists with books. And music. We just wanted it for podcasts too!

Before launching the Goodpods podcast player, we looked hard at other popular podcast apps. And we’ve come up with a free podcast player and podcast discovery app that you’ll absolutely love. The good news is that it’s catching fire!

With Goodpods, you can find new and exciting podcasts and listen to all-time favorites! Discover podcasts that your followers are recommending and posting on your feed. Check out what other people are listening to and find your next series.

Like and comment on podcasts that other people post about. Create discussions, join groups and share your thoughts on podcasts that pique your interest. Find podcasts to follow, interact with podcasters and hosts, and find your listening community!

In The News:

Fast Company Magazine – “As the number of podcasts explodes, Goodpods is building a social network to help users find which podcast episodes are actually worth listening to. The real innovation is in the podcast recommendation engine, which has been carefully designed to avoid the ideological echo chambers that plague other social platforms and podcast players. One of the 10 most innovative companies of 2021!”

Inc. Magazine – “Goodpods is a free podcast app that co-founder JJ Ramberg defines as a mix between Goodreads and Instagram. The app has garnered the attention of celebrities as users including Kim Kardashian, Alyssa Milano, Simon Sinek, Katie Couric and Malcolm Gladwell.” – “Los Angeles-based Goodpods launched its free podcast app with the hopes of answering the question "What podcast should I listen to?" "Rotten Tomatoes does it for movies. Yelp does it for restaurants, Goodreads did it for books," said Goodpods co-founder, Ken Ramberg. "There was no discovery platform for podcasts."

Happy listening! – The Goodpods Team

The Sweet Spot of Podcast Players

Too often do podcast players lean too far to an extreme. Either they have an outdated and buggy user interface and have the fantastic customer service of a small team, or the user interface is sleek and modern but the customer service is an unreachable corporate wall.

I’m happy to report that Goodpods is the sweet spot and offers the best of both worlds. The interface is great, though of course there’s always room for improvement. And that’s where their customer service comes in. Goodpods doesn’t wait for problems or shortcomings to catch up to them; rather, they are very open and transparent about their desire to improve. On social media, almost daily, Goodpods will ask what it is that users or potential users would want from their podcast service to make their experience better. And I’ve noticed that the things people say are implemented in the app and on the website almost immediately!

This is the podcast player for you. And if it’s not, be sure to let Goodpods know, because they’ll do their absolute best to accommodate your needs. Well done, Goodpods.

Love this app!!!

I listen to so many podcasts and love to share episodes/shows, but sometimes my friends on social media just aren't interested in that. I love the Goodreads app for sharing, rating, reviewing, and discussing books and I wondered if there was such a thing for podcasts. A quick google search lead me to Goodpods. I've been listening to all my podcasts here for 2 months now and I love it! I get suggestions in my feed and interactions with people who are interested in different shows. I love the "List" feature so I can save and organize my favorite episodes by topic. More people need to get on this app!

Mostly good

What I like about this app are the sound quality and the ability to rate and review individual podcast episodes. What I dislike is a the inconsistency of the times it offers my favorite podcasts for listening. My favorite podcasts are often available an hour or longer after the same episodes are available on the Apple podcast listening app, for instance. I usually listen to podcasts during drive time, my daily morning podcasts aren’t available yet on Goodpods, but they are available on the Apple app. So I have to switch over to listen there. So my listening patterns aren’t fully accounted for on either app. Would be great if all podcasts were released simultaneously across all platforms.
