Fast, convenient, and greatly packaged!
The app is easy to use and easy to pick up on whether on my phone app or on a laptop using the website. It's come to be super convenient for me, especially with the cool integration it has with Google Home and the Assistant. Have ordered mainly from Walmart and Target with no issues. Items, even glass, always arrive in great condition and greatly packaged. Love being able to quickly see all types of variations for what I'm looking for, along with prices for me to compare in different stores (something that I find hard to do while in store). I also like the filtering options just in case I'm only interested in one store. My hope from stores is that an even greater number of items become available (which stores already have), but are not selling online on Google Express. I'm anxious to see the enhancements this platform will get in the future.
Shopping List is a disaster
I got this app solely for the integration with google home/nest shopping list, ie “hey google put milk on my shopping list.” Everything gets on the list, fine. It’s getting to the list that’s bonkers. Originally it was buried in the settings or profile section of Google Home app, so took a few clicks to get to but fine otherwise. Then they moved it into Google Shopping which still requires a few clicks, still fine I guess. Then they really started to mess with it. They added pictures to go with list items, in case I needed to be reminded what milk looks like, that made it take forever to upload an item manually. The feature was quickly taken down. They’ve since fixed it, apparently.
The biggest issue I have now is that you have to open the app, go to saved, then click down, then pick your shopping list. It does this EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU UNLOCK THE PHONE. First world problems, but incredibly annoying when making my weekly quarantine break to the grocery store and I have like 60 or 70 items on there and Face ID doesn’t even work because I’m wearing a mask. For how excellent their products usually are, this is especially frustrating.
How have I gone for so long without knowing about this app/site?
Where is it advertised?
My daughter just sent me the link to something she wants and I began to have a look around. I was amazed! I’ve already purchased two bedside tables using this app. I have been looking for specific ones and I just couldn’t bring myself to paying the price of a well known, high end home decorating store. I found the nightstands for over half off on this app!!! I’m thrilled but wish I would have known about it sooner, as I have just redecorated 1 of my bathrooms. I’m redecorating the master bed and bath next and will certainly be using this app for furnishings!!! Happy customer that will SPREAD THE WORD!!!
