※This application is for individual customers only. Business Users and Self Employed Business Customers cannot use this application.

You can apply for GoRemit via this application by simply inputting your details and photographing the identification documents, etc. with your smartphone. If you register a Shinsei PowerFlex Account in your name, you can make overseas remittances by withdrawing funds directly from your Shinsei PowerFlex Yen Deposit Account or Foreign Currency Account. In addition, this application provides a full complement of services to support your transactions such as adding and changing beneficiaries, checking your remittance history, simulating remittance amount and comission fees, etc. With just this application, you can conveniently use the GoRemit Shinsei Overseas Remittance Service.

Worst app ever

This is a horrible app and terrible process to sign up! I have been trying since August to set up but started with missing a hyphen in my address so my application was rejected. I then had to wait a week to get my account number and I’m still waiting for my overseas bank to get accepted so still can’t even use the app. The remittance amount limit is so low though that I doubt it is even worth it.

If you haven’t join Shinseibank yet - don’t do it! Please join any other bank they will be much better than this horrible bank with terrible service and resources!

Over 50 days and still waiting...

Shinsei bank has taken over 50 days to confirm my GoRemit application. After it was approved, the monthly limit is only 300,000¥. I’m still waiting on approval to increase this amount.

It’s a garbage app with extremely poor service from Shinsei. Just get TransferWise, their rates are better and they approved my account (with no limits) in less than a week.

Seriously. In order for an existing customer to start using this app, if you are already a customer, you have to download a document asking for permission to use this app, fill it out, and mail it.
