Description

About #GotYourBack App
#GotYourBack is an all-in-one food allergy management iOS app that stores allergens, medical information, scans food labels, and uses geo-location to notify emergency contacts if an emergency occurs.

Ingredient Lookup
Take a picture of an ingredient label to identify key allergens. Using a Google Text Detection API, the app will recognize words and ingredients from the picture and identify any allergens in the product.

Reminders
Set reminders and keep track of expiration dates for medications. The app will send a reminder before the medication expires and notify you of the expiration date. Reminders will be sent 15 days, 7 days, and 2 days before the expiration date.

#GotYourBack provides notifications if a medication expires or if a reminder is set. Enable notifications directly on the app or go to Settings>>#GotYourBack>>Notifications>>Allow Notifications

Emergency
Pressing the emergency button sends a text message to your stored emergency contacts with your current location.

Medical Info
Store and access your medical information at any time. Enter personal data into fields such as blood type, height and weight, medications, and dosage.

Allergies
Check off your allergens from the Top 8 Allergens list or input your own allergens. The ingredient lookup feature will scan ingredient labels for the allergens you selected/typed into the text field.

Emergency Contact
Input information about your emergency contacts into the required text fields. This information will be used in the emergency feature, where your emergency contacts will be sent a message with your location if an emergency occurs.

Food Allergy Alerts
Receive notices of recalls and alerts sourced from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Disclaimer
All data entered into the #GotYourBack app will not be shared outside the app or with third parties. When scanning ingredients, please take caution to double-check the ingredient label yourself in case of inaccuracy with the ingredient lookup feature. All rights reserved to #GotYourBack app product owner.

Thank you so much!!

This app is awesome!! And it is coming at just the right time for our family!! My son is allergic to milk, nuts and shellfish. And we have always had a ‘two-sets-of-eyes’ rule for reading ingredients. Too many times, one parent read the ingredients and overlooked something critical. So we have two people okay something before my son feels safe. Since my son is now 16 and becoming more and more independent, it’s great for him to have a “second set of eyes” in his pocket. This app is exactly what we needed. And as a mom and woman, I love that this was created by two young women!

amazing app

amazing app loved what you said at the fare conference

Great Resource

This is the perfect app for anyone with allergies! I am allergic to shellfish, fish, peanuts, and treenuts. The only thing to look out for is when a label says that it is made in a nut free facility but the app says it contains nuts because the word was on the label. Otherwise, I love this app and it’s mission! And, I loved what you both talked about at the FARE conference!!!
