GPX Reader 4+

Ok, this app really isn't made to do much but it used to do what it did very well: show GPX files. However, with this rewrite, they removed Google Maps and used Apple Maps in its place.

That would be great IF they also kept Google. But they removed it totally. I do not see why since they were likely never relying on an Apple API in the first place. Why not let it show both?

(If it *is* possible to show both and I am missing the setting, I'd gladly change my review).

I still gave it 3/5 since it does fundamentally do what it's supposed to; just more poorly than before

Open program, nothing displays (no app), choose file (to open), and bang, it displays the route in a map. Responsive, resizeable, change map views (I like hybrid best). No clutter, so screen grabs are easier. Things that would make this better would be image exporter (so the displayed route was automatically converted to an image and then exported), heart, velocity, etc. info. But, you won’t get a much better deal for less than $2.00. Kudos to author!

Trying to open iFit .tcx files, does not show anything.

I purchased GPX reader for MacOs hoping that the app would be able to open .tcx files from iFit and show me my workouts. The app opens the file, but that is about it. The map doesn't center or zoom to the route/track at all. When going to full screen, the map repositions to a random part of the world that has no bearing on my location (Los Angeles) or my workout. There is no help or instructions in the app.
