Welcome the corrections but...
I’ve used Grammarly on my desktop and laptop now for over a year and appreciate the corrections and suggestions. I also like to see my weekly stats and review my most frequent mistakes.
But there are at least a few recurring corrections that I don’t accept or disagree with. Most of the ones that I don’t accept have to do with context and business jargon that I wouldn’t expect the app to understand, so no big deal.
But corrections that I disagree with the most have to do with writing times. Specifically where “am” and “pm” should sit after a time, i.e. “7:00am” and “7pm” versus “7:00 am” and “7 pm.” I prefer to write the time without a space between the numbers and am or pm. I also feel like that is common practice and accepted. I don’t know the specific grammar “rule” that addresses this, and I’m guessing that Grammarly is just following the rule. But I’d like the option of turning off this rule, because I think that without the space is the more common practice, especially in a business setting.
Wish it didn't lag
I use grammarly online all the time and I love it. But the iPhone version is laggy. It doesn't pick up all of my keystrokes the way the stock keyboard or even other third party keyboards do. It often misses when I hit the space bar and some other random letters and it just overall feels sluggish trying to keep up with my typing.
Another big problem that made me switch away from using it was its insistence on correcting the same word over and over and over and over and over again unless I typed exactly what I wanted and then selected the "quoted" version of it above. I'm used to the stock keyboard knowing that if I typed something a certain way and it corrects it, when I backspace and type it again the same way, it was intentional. Grammarly doesn't understand this and corrects it over and over unless you go out of your way to tell it that spelling was intentional. As someone who types fairly fast, I got irritated really quickly having the app correcting me in that way, especially when most of the time they weren't even spelling mistakes, but correctly spelled words that it assumed we're spelling errors due to it trying to predict the sentence.
I preferred grammarly simply because I could type out a whole chunk of text and it would then give me suggestions on how to fix my mistakes at the end. For me, having to monitor the app's corrections as I type defeats the purpose. And the sluggish response kills it for me.

Thanks for reporting this! Would you mind submitting a support ticket via https://gram.ly/cbbHVQH so we can work on this together?
It’s a NO-brainer...get it! No, as in no for me, but brainer! Ha!
I got this app because my husband has it downloaded on his laptop and I love it. I am pretty bad at grammar, so this app was a life saver. However when I downloaded it for my iPad; which I have the Keyboard laptop case thing on it, well the app pretty much didn’t like the Keyboard case. It told me to turn it off and use the keyboard that the app provides. Which is the touchscreen option and that’s completely inconvenient when you have to type a long 24 page papers.
I also hate the fact that after you switch on the Grammarly keyboard, you get another thing that pops up and says, “allow full access”. By the way, I’m so glad they gave the option instead of just taking full access. But anyways, I’m against full access because when you allow them full access, you basically sign your life and rights away. They tell you that all the information you type or previously typed, like credit card info and address, will be collected and stored in their personal database. And that’s not all, but I rather not sit here and spell it out for you (ba-da-ting). Not-happenin-over-here-captain. So I installed it and 5 minutes later deleted. You can try it for longer if you want, but do it at your own risk!
I’m telling my husband on you Grammarly.
Developer Response ,
It's true that the Grammarly Keyboard doesn't support integration with a physical keyboard at this time. We recognize how using the onscreen keyboard may be inconvenient for long documents, and will make sure to take this into account for future development plans.
We also understand your concern regarding full access and will do our best to clarify this for you. The Grammarly Keyboard needs full access in order to connect to the Internet. The keyboard needs an Internet connection because we use powerful servers to check your text and provide corrections. However, Grammarly is blocked from accessing any field marked sensitive (such as password and credit card fields), so in fact, the keyboard cannot transmit that information to Grammarly. We have additionally blocked our keyboard from accessing anything you type in search fields, URL fields, and email address fields. The Grammarly Keyboard only checks the text you type while using it. Grammarly does not see information from any of your other keyboards, including the default keyboard for iOS.
We hope that you can give the Grammarly Keyboard another chance!
