The idea of the app is great, but it’s been around for what feels like a couple of years, and the improvements haven’t come. The fact that it takes days for a show to be added isn’t great, but the limited amount of shows is truly bad. I’ve still never been able to figure out how to search consistently. The gg app figured out how to make a Letterboxd for games that works great, and I just wish grappl figured out the same.

When searching, the UX does not allow the user to go back and update their search. You are forced to close the app, if you wish to update your search from Kenny Omega to Brock Lesnar.

You cannot leave a comment when you rate a match, yet you can leave comments and like other people’s ratings.

Lots of missing matches that could have been added with a simple web scrape. There are a few open source pro wrestling databases and it appears none are being used in conjunction with this app.

Lots of efficiencies to be gained and UX bugs to fix. These are just what I found after 5 mins in the app.

Would love to see some of the bugs fixed (doesn’t update initial entry when changing a rating, doesn’t update when following new people right away, doesn’t save location, etc.), the addition of different promotions and a way of checking out matches I’ve rated more easily. But overall a really great looking app that’s constantly up to date on the promotions it does feature.
