Anyone who voted last November knows how confusing the ballot could be. Referendums, school board elections, and politicians you’ve never heard of take up nearly 90% of the ballot. How is anyone supposed to know who to vote for, without spending hours researching all the candidates?

Enter Grassroots. Grassroots is a non-partisan civic engagement app, which keeps you up-to-date on upcoming elections, who’s on the ballot, and where you can vote. Enter your address, and we’ll do the rest!

Local, state, and federal elections are all covered, and candidate overviews are available for everyone from the county drain commissioner to the President of the United States.

Grassroots integrates data from the Google Civic Information API. The API is supported by the Pew Charitable Trusts, Google, and election officials nationwide.

Helpful for New Voters

This app is especially good for first time voters like myself who just want a basic overview of who is running so that we can start exploring our options. It makes the whole process a little bit less overwhelming.

Great basic voter app !

Once you have entered your address and zip code, this voter app shows your district info, current representatives and all candidates for whom you are eligible to vote, with date of upcoming elections. App also provides a link to the text of any referendums being put to vote. The location of your polling station will also be listed and shown on map when officially confirmed.
