It’s super fun but the shooting rate is PAINFULLY slow. It takes just one missed shot for a red ship to hit you. For the love of god either: 1) give a tracer beam to show your aim trajectory or 2) increase the firing speed so that a one miss shot (due to poor tracking) isn’t game over.

So, you’re presented with a giant movie like screen, which is basically a star field backdrop with a planet in the center. 3-D cartoon-like alien spaceships fly in from the screen, and into your real world just like the encounter dinosaur demo. The alien spaceships are nicely rendered with shiny surfaces. You hold your index finger out like a gun, as the ball shaped bullets automatically shoot. You basically aim and kill. Your other hand is used to invoke the laser gun, which is temporary. In fact so much so that you only get two in the entire game, so you have to use it wisely. It’s simply a beat your own high score affair.

The recharge of the bullets has a bit of a delay, so sometimes you’ll get overrun with aliens in your real world, which can be kind of frustrating. I’m giving it four stars because it’s early yet, and there ain’t much to compete with, but if this were say, four months from now, I’m sure it would earn less. For the price though, it’s kind of a fun show off piece.

Developer suggestions: Have it so certain aliens will replenish your laser instead of the two laser limit. It’s frustrating, as once they’re used up, it all goes downhill from there. In addition, the laser effect produces a bright light around your hand, which completely obstructs your view when trying to shoot the aliens. Get rid of it! Finally, there is no option to swap hands, so your trigger finger is your right hand only.

Seeing is that this is the first version of the game, It’s a very promising and a must purchase. a little bit of issues with hand tracking and the gun randomly stops firing because it seems to lose track of how you’re pointing, but overall a promising game.
