Hi I’m Greg, your plant superhero, here to make plant care simple!

Let me guess, you bought a bunch of plants over the past few months and now you’re feeling overwhelmed? Have no fear, Greg is here! While you’ve been selling out your local nursery, I’ve been hard at work studying over 35,000 data points collected on houseplants worldwide. I’ll set a schedule for each of your plants and adapt it over time based on your habits as well as the weather and climate in your area. Prepare for the indoor jungle of your dreams!

-Get daily notifications from me when plants need your attention
-No need to set a schedule. Add each of your plants and let plant science take care of the rest
-Mark plants as watered or snoozed to help me learn. My watering suggestions will adapt over time to fit you and your plants like a glove
-Auto-identify each of your plants. My water schedules adapt automatically to each plant’s drought tolerance
-View your whole plant collection in my jungle view
-And sprouting additional features as fast as a spider plant makes babies!

My team is tackling a big mission: designing and building the best plant parent companion on the planet. Even more ambitious is our long-term goal of growing our collective understanding of plant science. We’ll apply our learnings as they relate to our global food systems and our climate crisis to support our incredible planet and its inhabitants.

Simple, Pretty, Adless, and Helpful

I’ve only had this app for a couple days but I’m a huge fan so far. I decided to invest in the $30 lifetime option because honestly I’ve spent way more on my plants and I’ve got a gift card that brought it down to $5. I love cataloguing and seeing how my plants compare to others. The AI is pretty impressive especially in identifying most plants simply from photos. It seems like the beginning of a great app to integrate into my life, but I definitely see room for growth (no pun intended.) I think there should be ways to update your experiences with a plant in a social way. Instead of just seeing people having watered their plants on my feed I’d love to see propagations, fertilizing, repotting, pest control, and even plant deaths. I think this would make the app loads more interesting and fun. I’d also love a commenting feature or an advice feature where fellow plant folk can respond to inquiries for help. TLDR: Definitely worth it for someone passionate about plants so long as updates are on the way.

Hey @tree2727 (great username btw 👌) ! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts! We've been working on some awesome upgrades to our social features for the past few months that hit on nearly all of the points you mentioned above. We're super excited to release these in the coming weeks and would love to hear your feedback on them when they become available! Some Love to My Plants

I have tried multiple plant apps over the years, but Greg is the first one that makes me feel like I’m doing the most to care for my plant family! I love how easy it is to upload pics, answer simple questions, & NAME MY PLANTS (i love the feature of name suggestions for the ones i hadn’t named yet). I thought the question about pot size was interesting, being it’s the first time I thought about this factor. It’s also really nice to have a watering reminder - like your “take your meds” alarm on your phone, but a much nicer, more exciting notification. Overall, I’m really impressed with Greg’s ability to identify my plant species through pics & immediately suggest a watering schedule. The app itself is cute & clean! So far, I’m a fan!

Pros- great for my adhd cuz I’ll forget I actually have plants. I live that it connects to my weather in my location, and tells me how to support my plants through winter. And it’ll give me averages on how much light my plants are getting! The app is super clean and aesthetically simple. Super duper user friendly.

Cons- what I absolutely hate it that it only keep tracks of watering and is anti fertilizing. I love to fertilize plants as they show new growth with very gentle non burning natural fertilizer every other watering but there is no way to keep track of that since the app doesn’t “recommended” fertilizer I feel like a plant app should give you the choice wether or not you get to track fertilizing and still be able to give it your two cents.

Other then the con it’s a great app! And I just track fertilizing with my notes app along with it which is pretty annoying but functional. I definitely recommend. Especially if you don’t care about not having a fertilizing feature!

Hi @madmarble- thank you so much for the feedback and for your kind words!

Thanks to feedback just like this, we're working on building a fertilizer tracker to help folks who choose to feed their plants. We want to make sure plant care is simple and accessible to all our users.

For what it's worth, new growth is usually a result of A+ lighting conditions rather than fertilizer. That means you've got your plants in optimal conditions, so keep up the good work! 💪
