Love the drafting angle!

I really enjoy this take on FF drafting! I would equate this to something like FIFA drafts. If you enjoy tinkering around with lineups to maximize chemistry, this would be right up your alley.

Right now, it tells you the tier of the card, but one suggestion I have is you could implement a “hard mode” in which the tier of the card is hidden. The tier of the card could be determined by points in that fantasy season. For instance, you get “2023 CMac”, and you have to know/guess that it’s the highest tier over other cards. This could be an additional challenge for the most avid fantasy football followers!

Good concept; bad bugs.

Good concept that is held back by consistent bugs. Sometimes when you attempt to use one of your three per day drafts, the app won’t load forcing you to close and re-open the app costing you one of your three daily drafts. Other times, a player that you select and place in the preferred spot, it will not register the play as being selected. Not only does this affect what you’re given for the rest of the round (for example, I’d you’ve already selected two QBs the app not registering that you’ve drafted two QBs, will continue to give you QB options). If you fail to catch this, a player that you’re building your grid around may ultimately be considered void. I’ve submitted more than one draft with a literal blank spot on the grid because the player I selected didn’t end up registering for whatever reason. Even if you catch it, it costs a reload of the app where best case scenario, the player you selected is no longer there, and worst case scenario, it costs one of your daily drafts in the manner I described above. Great concept, but still needs some debugging.

The app grew quicker than our servers could handle! We recently released a big update with performance improvements and bug fixes that address all of the issues you called out.

Love the idea, but…

The game is currently not a puzzle but rather just luck. I obviously know how to choose the best links but whats the point in knowing how to score a lot of points if the game doesn't give you a chance? On top of that, only three plays a day always feels great after after losing 50+ GLO. Which, mind you, I didn't actually lose but the game just decided to only count my one -18 GLO game today and not either of the other two. This concept is 5*, the current execution leaves a lot to be desired. Until figuring out this game is a skill, there shouldn’t be a cap on the number of plays. Add in a round or two where you can eliminate choices from the player pool. This would increase the amount of skill a player needs to actually score points. Also, draft year needs to be replaced with something else. The disproportionate amount of players in the game drafted in the 2020s compared to 2019 or before still in the league makes this link pointless. Team Division Conference Should be the three links. I want to be upset at myself for playing bad when I get a low score. Not mad at the game because it just simply prevented me from scoring more.

We view Griddy as a highly strategic game with plenty of skill involved. The best comparison is poker - although there is luck in the cards you're dealt on a round-to-round basis, there's quite a bit of strategy in determining how to best play your hand. This is represented by the skill-based rating system and statistics page, where you'll note that there's a huge range of average scores across the userbase that represents the skill involved in Griddy.
