Gridwise: Gig Driver Assistant
Ratings & Reviews
I have been using it for a year and this is by far one of the best apps anyone could have. I would make it open to other industries as well instead of limiting it to rideshare only, perhaps you can cetegorize the industries. Many businesses need an app like this to track mileage and expenses with picture proof at a reasonable cost. as an IT executive I give this a 5 star rating for its functionality and being user friendly.

The app is great. It tracks your earnings (mostly automatically), entering expenses is easy and straightforward. Exporting everything for tax time… done before you know it…. Tracking miles…. I never remember to turn it on and off manually and auto tracking tracks miles for 36 hours at a time sometimes… I’m not driving when I’m sleeping… I’m pretty sure. It doesn’t know when to stop

So in my smaller market it is not really helping me figure out a strategy to boost rideshare pay. Now if I were to drive 76 miles to Austin, TX, then I would probably see some great insights. However, all of the other things that this app provides is totally worth $10 per month.
I’ve used this app since I’ve started driving Uber/Lyft. It helps track my earnings and keep it organized! Helps at tax time with mileage but best of all it gives me up to date info at any airport I’m near. It automatically list the closest airport and that has helped me when I traveled!
Developer ResponseThank you for taking the time to leave us great review. We appreciate it and are so happy to hear that you are loving all of Gridwise's features! I really love this app and it tracks my mileage great. But why can you not see your personal mileage total? You can easily see your business miles total, but when doing taxes it also asks your personal miles. When you tap on personal miles it just takes you to where you have tagged each journey as personal. Am I supposed to go through each day of the year and add them all up? I left Hurdlr to use Gridwise because Gridwise looked a lot nicer, but at least they showed my business and personal mileage. Please, please add this simple thing. I’m baffled why it’s not already there, it has all this information. Thanks.
Developer ResponseThank you for the thoughtful feedback and for being a Gridwise user! We're happy to hear mileage tracking has been working well for you. We completely understand your request for a personal mileage total, and have shared your feedback with our product team for consideration. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know what would make Gridwise even better.– Kim, Gridwise Customer Support Manager
A strong application for Gig workers or even freelancers who need reliable mileage tracking. Really useful when paired with a forward thinking business bank. Takes most of the manual work out tracking mileage and preparing for taxes.Room for improvement in the following areas. Totaling personal mileage recorded, more accuracy and data neededfor all types of gig work(grocery info is rough). The auto mileage works adequately but still requires time and effort to keep mileage properly accounted for.

I drive for three different delivery services, and Gridwise is very helpful with tracking my mileage, related expenses, hours, and earnings. It's pretty much automatic-- I link my different accounts and the earnings from each are updated at least once per day (it's not always 100% accurate but is close enough for my purposes). One tap starts and stops the mileage and hour tracking, and expenses/extra earnings (cash tips, etc.) are easy to enter and categorize for each platform and type. All my data is aggregated and displayed in easy-to-understand graphs and charts broken down by week and platform, which I really appreciate.I rated four stars because, despite the functionality that I enjoy, it seems this app is geared more towards rideshare drivers and therefore offers a lot of options that, frankly, just get in my way. Airport/flight information and a schedule of local events would be great for people who want to know where to pick up rider fares, but that information is irrelevant for me and just clogs up my display page. If there was a way to hide this information, it would definitely make the app a lot easier and more convenient to use. Also, if the developers read this review, I would be very interested in the ability to tag individual trips with information about the retailer, customer, tip amount, etc. Furthermore, if there was a way to discern the most profitable time of day/week for each platform, it would be incredibly helpful in optimizing my earnings!
I have an accounting certification but even with that I still dread keeping track of my self employed income, mileage, expenses, etc for taxes. It’s a huge headache even for someone who completely understands what they need to do. This app syncs all of your gigs information into one app and I tested it against another similar app of its kind and this one is spot on! Also the biggest plus to me are being able to export PDF files for FREE of your income, mileage, and expenses in whatever time frame you want. It makes everything so simple. ALSO This is the ONLY app whose mileage tracker DOESN’T slow my phone down!! 🙌 You also can manually add in information as well if you forget to turn on the mileage tracker. But it’s so spot on the only info I’ve had to add was the mileage one Gig app doesn’t keep track of itself to import over to this app. I LOVE being able to see a summary of all these different metrics of each app and the totals for them all combined. It seems so simple. Almost as if you are looking at a simple paystub which is exactly how easy I was hoping this app would be! This has saved me sooo much stress!

As of right now this is the best app out there for stuff like this. Accurate data from my experience and does a great job keeping track of earning and expenses. A few things I would like to see in the future: easier ways to look at data for specific regions of a major city or individual towns, busiest traffic times and traffic patterns in different areas (I’m aware there’s plenty of other apps that do this but it would be nice to have it all in one place) and most importantly I’d really like to be able to track driver data with the same metrics currently used but for sports game times. Not actual in person events occurring in the city which could include sports games, but any time a popular local team is playing on tv. I work in Seattle area and have found that doordash is MUCH busier during Seahawks mariners and kraken games, especially Seahawks. It would be very useful for gauging whether or not to drive during specific dates and times. Same with other popular live tv events like the Super Bowl, World Series, Oscar’s etc
Developer ResponseThank you for taking the time to leave your feedback! Your insights help us improve the Gridwise experience for all drivers. I've noted your suggestion about traffic conditions and TV events and forwarded it to our product team for evaluation. The app is super convenient tracks ur miles lets you add ur expenses it’s like a dairy for driving. Just swipe start tracking & ur good for the day. It will even ask you if u have finished ur shift incase you forget to stop tracking. There are a few little issues that bug me & can confuse someone. You can sink whatever apps your working with like shipt door dash instacart etc.. it gives you the option of manually putting in how much you make for the day or like I said U can sink ur accounts. But when u sink ur accounts it sometimes doesn’t work like it signs me out of my shipt account all the time & I have to log back in. Same with door dash etc. it can be confusing because if it doesn’t automatically put ur earnings in so you do it & then all of a sudden they do it too. So it’s like double the earnings. That’s not good for keeping up with taxes. So I just say don’t link the accounts just manually put ur earnings & expenses in yourself. But its definitely a good app. Even comes with rewards. Check it out.
