Grim Tales: The White Lady 9+

Log in problem appears to be fixed, as I had no issue with it. Anne Grey is back front and center, no mentions of the niece who was trying out the whole adventuring idea. You rescue family, and there’s the usual mishaps along the way. The plot isn’t super in depth, but it rarely is. I’m knocking a star off because the main game feels oddly short, and I think the game would have benefited from a longer game with more backstory for the plot.

Edit: Bonus story helped with SOME of the backstory, and added much needed tie in to the Grey family, but also opened more questions about the main antagonist- so my rating stands.

I was playing through free before buying and it looked normal then when I unlocked the rest it had this really weird new style where it looked broken up and glitchy?? I don’t know if this is a style choice I hate it and I don’t understand why I can’t have the option to change it back to the way it was before the unlock where it looked normal and I could see everything clearly?? Cause there’s just box outlines around everything so the picture is obscured and I deleted it and re downloaded to make sure it wasn’t some kind of download issue but no, now when I restart it’s like that from the beginning now. It’s insanely annoying to have the picture broken up and weird unnecessary outlines around stuff randomly. I just want to be able to play it though the way it looked before. I paid full price for a massive downgrade!

I love the Grim Tales series! The Hos were varied, the puzzles were imaginative, yet annoyingly easy. For example, in a place-the-gears puzzle, the gears were colored and the background where they are supposed to go has the matching color! Where is the thought in that lol. But the game was still thoroughly enjoyable. The bonus game ties in characters from another series, and lets you know why Richard was obsessed with the dark arts. And is it just me, or is Richard hot as hell😉. I knocked off a star for easy puzzles and the main game seemed a little short.
