Used to be great

I purchased my first Guardzilla camera (outdoor) a few years back. The app was user friendly and camera was easy to get up and running. It was really free and recorded short clip 30 sec videos. I have purchased other stand alone indoor cameras, with their own apps and always depended on this camera first. I decided at Christmas 2019 to purchase guardzilla’s new 360 indoor. It never would record video. I can take a snap shot and see live action. I was in touch with support in Feb 2020 and they went through everything with me by email contact and determined I needed to send in the camera to their St. Louis, MO factory repair. They said they would fix or replace. This was the end f Feb. Two weeks later the camera was returned to me via usps. The tracking report on the package said the address was vacated. When I received the camera back the corona virus isolation had just started, but I have not been able to reach customer service through phone or email since. Everyone agrees on the guardzilla FB Page that they have gone out of business. The app and no cameras are working. Also people are being charged a monthly fee for longer video and monitoring service and their cameras don’t work. Your customers would like to know what’s going on???? The support page has a note saying to upgrade to the latest app if the camera is not recording, but this IS the latest app. Something is VERY WRONG.

Monthly Fee?!

When I first seen the manufacturer product several year ago the great attraction wa that it was free off sight monitoring because it was self monitored not monitored by an agency that would call the police for you.
This sound to me like an internal flaw in software design and so that my private home isn’t tapped into by cyber/physical criminals and what’s worse when I’m signing up for it believing it to be free ( ON THE BOX) until the last step then the really dangerous criminals have already put their digital signature on it and can turn it on as long as it has power without my knowledge and so I have to put it back in the box to be safe and can’t even use it as a deterrent.
I’m am disappointed, dissatisfied, and distracted by the fact that I just spent money on an electronic item and paired it to a network. Can I even return it for full value without waiting several weeks and paying a S&H fee, Full Refund. Not in my future.
Ahh I mean your as bad as cell phone company if your gonna charge rates like that then the WiFi should come from the camera and I can pay you for the internet to run the camera not pay for internet pay for the phone then pay for off site SELF monitoring. I gifted one of these to a single mom of there and she couldn’t use it because of the internet issue God I’m glad she didn’t know I got her a gift with a monthly fee. A real jerk does that, THANKS!

Ok cameras, horrible customer service

I have 5 Guardzilla cameras. 1 indoor 360, 2 outdoor 360. 1 regular indoor and 1 regular outdoor. The cameras themselves are pretty good and work fine. Problem is that the cameras will not record anymore when activity happens so you are stuck not knowing if something happened like an intruder or if a bird or car just drove by. This has been going on for the past 6 months or so and customer service will not answer back on any questions. I’ve been trying to contact them for months with no luck. I assume it’s a software problem they can’t get a grasp on but they won’t reply to help and it hasn’t been fixed yet. I was paying for their professional service and turned it off recently since i am paying for nothing. This is pretty sad they can’t seem to fix this problem since I invested so much in them and in the past have referred numerous customers to them. Sadly I won’t be recommending them in the future and I’ll just have to take a loss and start replacing the cameras with a brand that works correctly. When these cameras worked as advertised I loved them and they used to have good customer service, not sure what happened but I would stay away from them for now. I hope they fix the recording issue and the service issue soon before I replace them.
