Description

Americans inadvertently donate 3X more to politicians and PACs through their purchases than they donate on purpose. Let's change that!

Enter a company or brand name. And we’ll tell you what we know about the political donations made by the organization and its senior employees.

Corporations earn profits off of your everyday purchases, and some of those profits are donated to politicians and causes you might not agree with. Most of us are unaware of this because that information hasn't been readily available. Until now.

Last, but certainly not least, we recently added a Politicians feature. This allows you to easily look up your favorite politician and instantly see the companies that support him or her!

How We Vet The Political Donations

Our team has spent thousands of hours vetting companies’ political donations with the tools available to us, and we’ll continue refining our data to ensure our results are as accurate as possible. So far, we’ve focused on organizations’ spending in federal elections, and our next step will be to vet state expenditures.

Everything I needed that I didn’t know I needed!

This app is so well done! I found myself in a rabbit hole constantly online trying to figure out who and what companies fund specific candidates and policies. I’m so happy that someone has developed this app. It’s so well organized and also so eye opening. I like how it caters to all parties, and mostly the quiz that gives you an overall sighting of where your spending your money. And then it gets even better when they breakdown alternatives to get you on track to putting money in the companies that contribute to the candidates and polices you believe in.

Good idea on paper

This seems like a good idea, but this needs a lot more transparency into the actual data to back up their claims in this app. So far it seems like an unknown entity submitting information based on unknown sources. Not exactly the most trustworthy source. With more transparency I might be more inclined to use this app, but for all I know it could be extremely biased in one way or another. Personally I like to see the cold hard data and form my own opinion from that. The debate section seems like a decent idea and fine for refining opinions, but the actual data this app presents has no transparency to track it down to its source. That much really concerns me. In any case, it may be fine— but take the information with a grain of salt and use at your own risk.

Love this app!

Just learned about how this app lets you know how the companies we do business with support Political Parties & People running for office.
We have found that a lot of businesses we have purchased from for years are VERY OFTEN supporting interests that are NOT the same as our own.
Unfortunately it’s like we have been giving $$ to companies to go against, what or who, we would vote for. But no more!
With the help of this app we will NO LONGER be contributing to this.
Thank you for creating this app to give us the information & knowledge to choose.
