Description

Admit it, it is difficult to find an app for your needs. Many of them are complicated, contain many unnecessary features, or are simply too expensive.

With GymKing you get exactly what you need, an app that is easy to use, fast and efficient, but also with an incredibly beautiful interface. The app is made for everyone, but is best suited for weightlifters. Log your workouts, weights and reps without bloated features and with a super simple and intuitive user interface.

WHAT USERS SAY:

«I was blown away how simple and useful this app was. AND it give diagrams. I took me 5 minutes to learn and honestly I deleted all my other apps for this one!»
«Thank you for giving out this app for free. In my opinion, this app is actually better than most paid apps. You do have to know what you are doing in terms of working out, but if you do, this app gives you a fast, easy and reliable way to track your workouts.»

«Great if you want something simple for logging workouts, weights, reps and don’t want something bloated with videos, social, etc.»

«Straight forward and well designed for those of us just looking for a good way to track and review workouts. No unnecessary and overly complicating features or ridiculous subscription fees. Calendar view would make it ideal but 5 stars for what it already has.»
«Finally! I found a workout log that just works for me. I consider myself pretty advanced when it comes to working out so I have very specific needs for things like a workout log.»
«I’ve only been using the app for 5 minutes and know it is going to be AMAZING! I’ve been ‘playing’ with many similar apps but this is so easy to use. Huge thumbs up! :)»

What’s New

Version 4.0.1

We've just rolled out an update that fixes a couple of tricky issues you might have encountered. First, we've resolved a bug that caused the app to crash when changing the order of exercises. Also, we've fixed an issue where the timer would reset unexpectedly if you interacted with the view. Thanks to these tweaks, your app experience should now be smoother and more reliable.

Another App with downsides

Say I have a workout that doesn’t requires weights, it’s kind of pointless that they set it such that you can’t have a workout without weights.

Secondly, I would pay 2 to 5 dollars for this. Another page such that when you repeat a workout. There’s check marks where you can check off a workout. And proper times, and sliders for weights.

Thirdly, the ability to set a timer for time based workouts, with a 5-10 second starter time to get into position.

Fourthly, the ability to set weights off or to equipment to none when defining an exercise. That though is very nit picky, just like the rest this. And maybe define a range for the weight so that you could use sliders instead of typing in the weight amount.

5th, what about stretches. Do I have to lose that activity chart because I like to stretch.

So overall, currently, it is truly free and without any major downsides. And I do use it as my daily workout setup so I would really appreciate any additions. Thanks for this app, it’s really good. And I will change this after a few months with the next update.

Update: still having those downsides but I’m changing it because I still like the app.

Almost perfect

When adding a custom exercise, you can only choose one muscle. Some exercises hits multiple muscles, such as push-ups. Being able to add these extra muscles would make the reporting much more accurate. Also, isometric exercises are trending up in popularity. Being able to properly track these load/time based rep exercises would be a great feature to add.

Great app

Really good so far, I’ve been using it for about a week. Easy to input your data, I wish the screen didn’t move after I’ve entered my set, it keeps scrolling on its own. Also wish after timer ran out it would vibrate and make more clear sound, maybe longer sound. But so far it’s my favorite tracking app I used on iPhone.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for your kind words, Ruski01! We will take a look into the screen jumping when entering sets - that is just... annoying! :) Maybe adjustment of sound and vibration is something we can add to the settings?

EDIT: Scrolling on its own is now fixed and should be available for update ASAP :)
