Don’t know if I’m just lucky?

I’ve literally had zero problems with this app. The layout is just fine for me (actually better than the website, much easier to use). Every check in I’ve done has gone smoothly. It’s saving me a TON of money. The only thing I would criticize is that they’re not very upfront about the fact that you’re only allowed one check in per day, which has made things a bit logistically difficult sometimes (for example, if I do my regular morning workout, I can’t then join my partner for a swim after work, or try a dance class or some karate lessons later, so I really have to plan things out). I wish there was a way you could “upgrade” to two check ins per day. But I can’t complain too much because I’m getting an Onyx-level Lifetime gym for HALF what a normal membership costs, AND on top of that I’m getting access to all sorts of smaller and more-diverse options, like karate, yoga, group fitness, and even things like Bollywood dance lessons. It’s a really great deal!

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback! We are excited to hear that you are enjoying the app and we are working to keep improving our product. If you want to work out twice in one day, we do offer Gympass Wellness which is a network of fitness and wellness partnered apps. Accessing a partnered app doesn't take up your check-in for the day so you can work out virtually in then visit a physical gym that evening. We will pass on your feedback about two check-ins per day to our team.

Great concept, poor execution and inaccurate gym info

I love the concept of gympass since my employer offers this at a discounted rate. I travel a lot for work so it gives me access to tons of gyms. However, the app is super clunky, and customer service is slow and unresponsive. The biggest thing that will inevitably make me cancel my membership is the inaccuracy of data on the gyms, and more so - gyms not honoring what is described in the app. For instance, I showed up to do a workout, and the location was wrong. I ended up looking up the gym on google to find they were at a totally different location. Another instance was I showed up to do a workout at a gym, and the owner of the gym had no idea what gympass was and wouldn’t honor it. Another case where a gym didn’t honor it - at anytime fitness, the app says you will receive a key fob for access after your first visit. I get to the gym, and they said - no way that’s not happening, and you can only come in during office hours which is 11-5...so pretty much pointless bc who with a normal job actually works out then?
On top of all this - there’s no great way to get in contact with support. I’ve called their support number - no answer. I email the support address, and still haven’t received a response 2 days ago. Probably going to cancel this until things get better.

Inconsistent behavior

Just want to start out by saying I love the Gympass service. However lately I’ve had issues with booking some of my favorite classes. It seems like the different scheduling integrations are a little buggy and don’t consistently update or show the correct schedule. For example my favorite yoga studio switched from MindBody to Glofox for scheduling, both of which Gympass has integrations for. Since the switch I’ve been unable to consistently sign up for classes. Another issue is that Gympass seems to largely outsource customer service to their gym partners, which makes sense but is also massively frustrating from a user experience perspective as I am left waiting to hear back from different gyms about whether my issue is resolved. The only other thing I can do for customer service is fill out the form on the app/site and wait for an email. The helper bot is not helpful as all it does it point one towards the faq articles. All in all, the gym pass service is carrying the middling app experience. It’s disappointing to have such a great service administered by a mediocre app.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review Gympass and I am happy to hear you love our service. We are working hard to add more and more gyms, wellness apps, and other opportunities to our network. For when there are bumps in the road, we do have our customer service team working hard to address any issues. If there are booking integration issues, we do have a team that can work on resolving the issues and will reach out to the gym if it is something we need to work on with them. Our teams are always looking for ways to improve so we can provide you a better experience when reaching out for support.
