With the app, you can scan and bag your own items as you shop, make less contact with others, and save time at checkout in any lane.
Get started by launching the application at an eligible *H-E-B location, then log in with your HEB.com credentials or create a new account.
*Piloting at select locations.
Once you have created an account, then:
1. Scan and bag as you shop
Use your mobile device to scan your items as you place them in your cart or bag. The app will track your items as you shop, and you can add or remove products before finalizing your purchase.
2. Head to checkout
When you’re done shopping, head to self-checkout. At self-checkout, the kiosk screen will guide you through the checkout process.
3. And Go!
Pay as you normally would, grab your receipt and go! Or if your store has an H-E-B Go kiosk, check out by scanning the kiosk’s code and paying with the app.
Our latest update includes improved stability, bug fixes, and enhanced responsiveness.

Would love with a few more features
I really like this app and have recommended it to many friends. I do compare it to the Target app, and this app have some things better than the Target app but things could be improved to be better. One thing is while looking up an item, can you show us if there’s a current coupon for it? Also when I started my shopping today, I had to update my app right there on the spot. Not a problem but what was updated? When I checked out, did my digital coupons from your other H-E-B app already apply? It seems like they did but not too sure. That would be a nice feature. Sometimes I checkout and the coupons just won’t apply and that makes me nervous. For any shopper reading this, I created a list named “used Qs” and save all of the coupons that I know I used there so I don’t get shorted. Thanks for listening.
Checkout Process Needs Improvement
The HEB Go app is a nice thought, but the Scan and Go app and checkout process at Sam's Club just works better. For example, this app doesn't scan UPC codes on clearance items, so you have to go to a register staffed by a cashier, making the app useless on trips when you're buying a clearance item. At HEB, you can use the app to pay, but just when you think you're done checking out, the attendant has to come over and scan your items again. After she does that, you have to interact *again* with the touch screen to say that you're done, which seems like an extra, unnecessary step. I guess when the attendant scans your items, it prevents "inventory shrinkage," and is similar to Sam's where you have to have your receipt and a sample of items scanned on your way out the door, but so does everyone else at Sam's. In contrast, at HEB, the process just seems awkward and doesn't really save any time compared to just using the standard self checkout terminals.
Very much so impressed.
At first I wasn’t sure if all products would be available to be scanned and or registered to the system, but sure enough, they all were. Aside from the produceBarcode printer not working, it was all very seamless and quick. An employee did have to assist me at the end. And what she did was questionable. She said she had to rescan three items. I asked, “As in, re-scan items?“ she didn’t answer me, and to my best guess, it was some sort of theft prevention tactic. Assuming people put things in their bag without scanning it. If that’s the case, I understand. I just hope that doesn’t have to be done each and every single time. Because that would completely defeat the purpose.
