TOO SLOW CRAP … DON’y BUY THIS

I tried to convert a video taken with my iPhone 6 plus. It would not accept an M4V file which was recorded on my iPhone 6 Plus …. Amazing! I also trie to convert a movie I had purchased … it took 6.5 hours, and surprise surprise … it never recorded the audio!!!! I want a refund! BEWARE DO NOT BUY!!!!

Hello, I apologize for that, but recorded videos with iOS devices are .mov, not .m4v. (Edited videos are .m4v and Apple doesn't allow to use them in third-party Apps). And you can not convert correctly a purchased movie due to DRM restrictions. Best regards.

Unable to keep different audio codacs at current

This tool does make it easy to convert multiple videos in a queue, but it does not allow you to keep the DTS or any other audio codacs within your file if you are converting them from a MKV file. If my machine had a more up to date spec like an M2, it would most likely finish within 2 to three days, however, I do like that you can adjust the quality if you need to save file space. It has been a very important tool when I needed to convert things that I could not convert on a mac. I do wish that it would allow you to choose which subtitles and sound tracks for all of the files. The fact that it is simple makes it a smoother process. If windows had a tool like this, then it would be simply wonderful and it would help the workflow for others. An AV1, and H265 would be a nice addition to this software in the future, but if you make this on windows, many will buy this for the sake of convienence. GPU Accelleration or M1, M2 accelleration through the Neural Engine could make this tool so much faster on the newer macs. I hope that there is an update to at least the GPU Accelleration because it would help both intel macs and M1,M2 macs.

Great when paired with Apple Photos!

I bought this to convert the h.264 video files from my Olympus and Sony cameras to h.265, and it does that very well. It's a slow process, but that's to be expected, and the h.265 files are MUCH smaller and better for adding to Apple Photos - much faster uploads, and they don't take as much space in your iCloud storage plan.
