Receive a push notification to your iOS device the night before the American flag needs to be at Half Staff.
This simple app tracks when the President issues a half staff proclamation, as well as on pre-determined days such as Patriot Day, Memorial Day, Peace Officers Memorial Day and Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

Version 1.1
This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
It's been about 2 years since we pushed this app to the App Store, so we figured it was about time to bring the app up to speed.
In this version, you'll see fixes for all the popular bugs, including:
- The app saying that the next half staff date was (null) (null)
- Push notifications not actually sending
- The app not connecting to the servers
- Links actually are clickable and provide more information about the Half Staff day
- And more!
In addition, we've sized the app to work natively with the new iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
We've also gotten numerous pieces of feedback requesting state-level notifications. We will begin introducing those throughout the next few months, so if you're really interested in a certain state, we'd love to hear it! App in distress
Love the app. I use it to ensure flags where I work are properly displayed based on Presidential Proclamation but have a concern that I recently noticed. The “click here” feature for more info does not redirect or respond. I'm running the latest iOS on my iPhone 8 Plus. I also don’t see a way to forward flag info (email, message, etc). I would also like to see any State of Delaware flag updates posted in the future.
Excellent app … esp. for business/govn’t entity
This app is a must-have if you are a business or local government entity with flagpole(s). Gives you advance notice of the next half-staff days (Patriot Day, Memorial Day, etc) … and if you enable notifications, the app will alert you to Federal half-staff proclamations.
The only improvement I would like to see is for the app developer to create an iPhone widget for the widget page. And maybe change the app’s main screen pic every now-and-again. Still… it’s a GREAT app.
Please add Georgia as a State you follow!
So far so good for this app but I just downloaded it. It looks like it is a great one. I just hope you will add Georgia as a followed State. I am a recently retired disabled veteran with 27 1/2 years of service and I have always flown a flag in my yard and always will. So many have fought and died for what this flag represents, so I think every American with a pulse should fly one to honor our fallen if for no other reason. Thank you for creating this app. GO DAWGS!!
