Ham Radio Exam Preparation for the Extra Class license.

QUESTION POOL
Study the complete pool of questions and answers that can appear n the amateur radio Extra class license exam. The questions and answers are the exact questions published by the FCC. All questions are multiple choice.

PROFICIENCY
See your proficiency for each of the topics you study. Ham Extra tracks your proficiency for you so you always know how you are doing.

AUTO CORRECT
When you select a wrong answer, Ham Extra shows you the correct answer. This immediately draws your attention to the correct answer. Turn of Auto Correct on the Setting page if you don't want it.

SHUFFLE ANSWERS
When you take the exam, the multiple choice answers may appear in any order. Ham Extra randomly select the order for the answers so you do not associate an answer to a question by its position in the list of answers. Turn this off on the Settings page if you want the answers to always appear in the same order.

SHUFFLE QUESTIONS
Sometimes an answer may be easier to answer because the previous question provided hints to the current question. Go to the Settings page and turn on Shuffle Questions so that the questions within a topic appear in random order.

STUDY BY WEAKNESS
As you study, Ham Extra tracks the questions that you fail to answer the most. Choose Study By Weakness to have Ham Extra present questions where you are the weakest.

Wrong answers

Question E6B06 doesn’t exist anymore in the pool. And the answer here is wrong!

Thanks for the heads up on this. You are right; it has been removed due to errors and changes. An app update will be available soon.

Great supplement study tool

I just passed my Extra and I truly believe this app was a great addition to go along with my Gordon West study guide. What I really liked was it broke each topic into smaller groups of questions to allow me to concentrate on just a few at a time rather than a large number at once. Some of the questions in each topic didn't fall into the same topic as the book but I guess each author has his own ideas where they should go. As I progressed that became less of a factor.

As I went along it did a good job of tracking my weak areas allowing me to study the most where I needed it most. The practice exams were fun to take and allowed me to review what questions I missed. A nice feature to help you get it right the next time.

You really do need a good book to learn the material but an app such as this is great for reviewing all the questions in places where using the book isn't handy such as at work or just on the go. It really helped studying more enjoyable.
