- Route To Point: Pull up Google or Apple Maps on your phone and send a pinned location directly to your Karoo via the Companion App.

- Phone Notifications: See your phone’s notifications on your Hammerhead Karoo when you ride.

The Hammerhead Companion App is designed specifically for use with the all-new Hammerhead Karoo bike computer. Visit hammerhead.io to learn more.

What’s New

Version 1.4.0

- We’ve added a brief tour to introduce Companion App features to new Karoo users.
- We’ve fixed an issue where sharing Google Maps locations with non-ASCII characters in the name would prevent ride upload, route sync, and more from working between the Companion App and Karoo.

Less than useless

So my K2 is unsupported. Makes me want to go back to Garmin for a bunch of reasons: better battery life, and a usable app. Yes, I do believe the K2 is a better and easier computer to use than the others out there, but being relegated to “outsider” status is a distasteful scam perpetrated on loyal users. Is the new Karoo worth its nearly $500 pricetag? I doubt it; it doesn’t seem to have anything over the K2. So yes. I agree with some of the other negative posts: SRAM scam, and no more love for Hammerhead. No longer will I advocate for a device whose company so clearly disrespects its users. And to those of you who have the new Karoo, good luck to you, you do have a great device. But you’ll probably be posting something similar when the “K4” comes out and the app upgrade will only support the latest device, leaving you floundering in a pool of betrayal.

Inexcusable to not support previous hardware

There’s no good technical reason for the lack of support for previous devices. This is just a naked attempt to drive users to purchase a new device that they don’t need. I was considering upgrading, until now.

Boo! No support for karoo 2

That feeling when you’re a longtime karoo 2 user who’s basically been an unpaid local brand ambassador, and you find yourself disenfranchised by the lack of support for your device on the long overdue mobile app. Sram scam. Terrible.
