Laundry has always been a headache for our family, so this service is a God-send! It might be helpful for first-timers to know that if your order isn’t claimed by the beginning of your time window it will be cancelled, and you need to re-submit your order. Overall the app is easy to use, but I have two suggestions for Hampr to make the app and service work a little better. 1) of an order is cancelled allow for the user to “resubmit the same order for a different time slot.” Twice I placed an order that wasn’t picked up, and I wasn’t at home to scan the tags again. I decided t take a picture and print them off so I would have them next time, but that’s inconvenient and easily fixed. 2) There should be an option or button for me to tell the washr it’s ready for pick-up and for the washr to be able to drop it off early if they want to. I place my hampr’s outside as soon as I place the order, so my washr could easily pick them up early if desired, but there is really no option for that. Thanks!

Thanks so much for your feedback! We have actually updated our app to automatically "roll" the order over to the next window if it is not claimed so our members won't need to replace the order. We are working on options for same-day delivery and ways for the member to contact their washr for more communication. :)

  • Poor customer service

Signed up for hampr loaded and was very pleased with my experience until today. Sent out two loads of laundry to get cleaned and when it came back the next day, both loads came back with pet dander on it. Customer service asked for photos of the clothing so I pulled samples from both baskets and sent it to customer service. I pulled dark colored items because it was easier to see the dander. I simply asked for a credit to have my clothes rewashed and go about my day. They initially issued me one credit but I asked them for two credits because I had two loads. Customer service rep Jonah told me that if I wanted an additional credit, I would have take a photo of all 50+ articles of clothing in order to get an additional credit. That’s an unreasonable request when I’ve already pulled samples from both baskets and they obviously had dander on them. I’m sad that I had to cancel my premium membership because it was good while it lasted. If and when you run into a customer service issue, don’t expect much from hampr when it comes to resolution. I’ll be utilizing a different service that isn’t willing to lose a customer over $15.

Hi Marcus! I am so sorry to hear about your poor experience. What you describe is not our policy and not how we intend to treat our users. You received service not up to our standards and should have absolutely be credited! We would love to still fulfill your laundry needs. If you reach out to support@tryhampr.com or becky@tryhampr.com I would be happy to offer you credits so that we can make good on our stress free laundry promise.

  • Waited 2 days and my laundry is still dirty

I tried twice to have my laundry done. The first day my order was never accepted. The second day it was accepted, but the person never came to pick it up. Customer service reached out, but didn’t offer any real solutions. They told me they contacted the “washer” and the washer would reach out soon to tell me their ETA. That never happened. I have chronic pain which that makes doing laundry very difficult. I saved up money specifically to use this service and planned ahead to have my laundry washed when needed. 2 days later it is still dirty and I have no clean sheets for my bed. I have medical testing which will be a long appointment tomorrow and I will need to rest after and now I do not have my laundry done after hours of waiting. I see lots of positive reviews, but my experience was negative. Customer service did refund me (fortunately) but this is a warning. If you are considering this service and you really NEED it, this may not be your best option. They don’t seem to take it very seriously, so I guess this is more of “nice to have” than something you can rely on.

  • good idea but not good execution

I recently moved into an apartment that has no laundry services available. I saw Hampr as an exciting new way to have my laundry done conveniently, as I want to avoid laundromats. I bought the membership and patiently waited for the Hamprs to arrive a week later. I opened the Hamprs up to see that they were an OK size, probably around half of what a normal “hamper” looks like, not nearly enough for an actual full load. Down to the actual reason why this is a 1 star review, they actually charge for each. Individual. Hampr. They send you 4 Hamprs initially with the option to buy more. The charge for each Hampr every time you get service is around 15-20 dollars. That means if you want to do a fill up each Hampr every month, it would be close to 80 dollars at least. If the prices were reduced so that I could at least *afford* it, I would gladly consider using this service. In the meantime, this is far too expensive for anyone without access to a washer/dryer.

Update: It’s now been almost four months that I’ve used hampr and it’s continued to be great!!!! I’ve gotten about 6 or 7 different “washrs” now and they’ve all been so sweet, I have a few favorited, and a lot of them brought my clothes back earlier than expected. One lady even leaves a little thank you card on top to say she appreciates my business!I’ve forgotten to put my bags out by the time they arrived a few times and they’ve always called or texted and gave me a few minutes to hurry and bring them out. Seems like theres a really good group of people hired to wash clothes here because hampr is a local company in Louisiana, and since my washer and dryer both died from a power surge this service has been a godsend!!!!

  • The superior experience

I wanted to write a comparison review of Sudshare and Hampr since the former is more popular, but in my opinion, is not nearly as high quality as Hampr. The interface of Hampr allows you to customize each load based on temp/soil level/etc and standardizes bag sizes using 13 gal kitchen bags. Makes a lot more sense for the user and I’d imagine makes the experience more standard for washers. There is also no pre authorization of your payment method since the load cost is fixed, so you know exactly what you’ll be paying up front. I definitely recommend this app over Sudshare! I started a yearly membership and am awaiting my hamper delivery but definitely foresee continued use in the future.
