This app can be faster and more accurate than Apple Watch. You look straight at your iPhone, hold still, and the app quickly measures your pulse from micro-color changes in your face.

It beats other apps that attempt to do this and doesn’t require putting a finger on the camera lens. For best results, use it where the light is steady (e.g., not on the disco floor).

I use the app when getting some exercise (indoor or out). It adds motivation and fun. Other uses: quick snapshot of your heart rate after sleeping, when stressed or ill, or when fully relaxing (how low can you get your heart rate to go).

I was so impressed by this app which can quickly and precisely detect you heart rate just from looking at your phone for a few seconds. The app exactly matches my whoop band, which requires me to have a scanner attached to my arm. I was skeptical at first thinking there would be no way that this could work. But I had my Apple Watch on and I tried it over and over again and they were always within 1 or 2 BPM of each other so now I’m a true believer! Really cool that it can detect it just from looking at your face.
