The Handshake platform I have found to be very informative with updated information at the same time. It gives me a very mundane feedback and most of all a human feedback. From the general public that is using this platform, I love the fact that people are so expressive honestly. It is quite refreshing.

I really like this app and have used it for about a week now since today I can’t even do anything on it because it shows a privacy setting preference and every time I click continue it doesn’t do so. I can’t use the app at all because of this I can’t even log in or out or do anything at all.

I have used this app to apply to jobs that I have applied to on indeed and zip recruiter and haven’t gotten hired. I have applied to around 8 jobs, lots of which I have applied to in late July and August around July 28th and August 28th no reply or response from any of the companies I applied to. I texted an employer on this app weeks after applying on July 28th ish and no reply until this day even when I sent three messages. Likewise when I go and look at my job applications they all say “position closed” even though I applied early to all these jobs. If this app is an app to help gen Z’s like me get jobs and get hired, is this for jokes or what? I have been employed for four months applying to lots of jobs so of which I applied here. I suggest you focus on actually fixing the app so that gen Z’s like me can get hired… This app is a waste of time and space on my iPhone. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone at all…

I’ve been using this platform for a little over two years and have not been successful in obtaining an internship/post graduate employment. I keep getting spam messages from recruiters that have irrelevant employment from my major or in a different state. It’s very frustrating. Then when I question if they have other opportunities that may be a better fit or recommendations after specifying my location I get ghosted. I know the job market is terrible right now but I’d prefer to not receive any messages at all than getting my hopes up getting a message for a job opportunity completely irrelevant to me or from recruiters that will ghost me.

I make alot of money using only indeed for job searches but I've had this app for a long time and it's the most useless job board I've ever seen more useless than Dice. For both apps you just get sent spam, jobs you're not looking for, low paying jobs but handshake has the lowest pay I have ever seen. And its pretty obvious companies are using it to take advantage of college students. There are banks looking to hire college students for under $20hr which doesn't make sense yet I can go on indeed and and get paid more which I have repeatedly. I make double the pay on every single job I qualified forWhy is the block and mute button the same and only limits the block/mute for 90 days??? If im blocking then I clearly want nothing to do with them In addition I only get messages from recruiters that clearly have not read my resume. Other job ads will show im not qualified when I amI decided to look through the app one last time and finally decided to delete it

I was sent an invite through email to join a school event and every time I do it takes me into handshake but will not show the event. It makes me sign in twice every time by entering my email, then entering my school, then entering my school email and password, and then it makes me use Microsoft authentication. Worst app I’ve had to navigate. After searching for the event and finding it I went to register and it tells me to open the app but I have it open on the app. It then takes me to my Apple Store to download handshake but I have already downloaded the app and the process repeats itself.
