I want to like but...

As much as I’m loving being able to watch Friends again, this app kind of makes it a bit of a nuisance. As other reviewers noted, it’s super frustrating not being able to just easily access other episodes!!!?? I don’t get the deal with that. It’s very common (and likely!) that you fall asleep watching something. Or what about when you just want to skip ahead? Instead of being able to easily click to see previous or next episodes of a show (like you should...), it’s like rocket science trying to figure out how to skip around- actually. Opening the app to (try) and continue a show becomes such a process and it’s honestly a huge buzzkill each time. Maybe if you’re not someone who falls asleep while watching, or doesn’t like to skip around episodes, it’s not as noticeable. But no matter how much I use this app, I feel like I still can’t get used to the setup, it just feels so difficult and unnatural. At first I thought it was just because it was new and I was used to Netflix, but it’s been long enough now that I know it’s not me. I get not having it perfect off the bat since this app is new and all, but HBO isn’t. With that, HBO Max certainly doesn’t come at a free, or cheap, price either... if I’m paying for an app/subscription, I would at least like it and expect it to function efficiently and not result in me writing a review as I’m trying to watch some TV because of how angry I am. Thanks

Functionality not quite there

The app seems to work for the most part, but I don’t like a few things: it seems weird that when I click on something in the continue watching section, there is no way for me to pick another episode from there. It seemed I had to go to the search option to find the show and THEN I could pick the episode I wanted, rather than where I left off (I often fall asleep while it’s on auto play and have to go back.) Also, it keeps giving me the cellular warning over and over, even tho I’ve turned that fiction off in the settings. One time it changed my setting for streaming with cellular data, and wouldn’t play at all until I switched the setting back. So weird.

One more comment, why does the iPhone app allow you to jump ahead 15 seconds but the browser version on my computer does not?

All in all the app is okay, and I like the extra content as compared to HBO now. But why the separate version of HBO? Just come out with one for goodness sake!

This app is definitely UNDERRATED!! How could someone not like this? This is everything HBO plus a ton of additional content. Friends, Big Bang Theory, Fresh Prince (and MAD TV) are all included ! This has a ton of big movies on it (Titanic is leaving though unfortunately), documentaries and series. The only thing short of 5 stars is the inability to access this from a Roku device. Other than that, it’s great. The layout is organized in a clean and simple fashion. I love the bright purple, it’s a smooth app, I cannot complain about anything (again, aside from Roku ordeal). I highly recommend this app to everyone. It is a bit expensive, seeing as how Netflix is only 7.99, Disney+ (with a much larger library) at 5.99 and Apple TV 4.99 but it is high quality content and has not changed. HBO was always 15$ so at least they did not increase the price, since they added a ton of additional content to the original HBO. Anyway, tbe service is definitely worth checking into. Definitely take up the 7 day free trial and check it out. There is something in here for everyone.

PS: WarnerMedia, PLEASE make this service available on the Roku ASAP!!
