Services:

• Register and track claims
• Sync data and get updates at regular intervals

• Create service requests for changes in policy details

• Login using a registered mobile number
• Tag and store important documents with eLocker

Required Permission:

• Contacts/Phone - Add/Call emergency contact from the "HDFC ERGO Insurance Mobile App" app to your phone contact list
• Camera/Storage - To capture a photo or pick an image from the gallery in order to upload images in claim registration, e-vault, and other modules
• Location - Show nearby location services like cashless network and other modules
• Overlay - To show notifications over the app while the application is in the foreground and to avoid unnecessary notification status bar

Health App integration :
- If the user has a health policy and when they click on steps from the Dashboard screen, the Application will ask for Health App Permission in order to access the Health App data.
- By allowing special permission to track your steps and calories users will get rewarded. They can get discounts on the bases of their daily steps and calories.
- HDFC ERGO Insurance app uses health data from your health app.
- HDFC ERGO doesn't use anything else from the health app
Note: HDFC ERGO does not create any data. It simply reads data from the health app and processes the data to show your physical activity details.

Disappointed with Limited Login Method

While app prides itself on a streamlined mobile number login, the decision to exclude email login options is perplexing. In an age where email addresses are integral for communication and account recovery, the app’s singular focus on mobile numbers feels restrictive.

The real letdown comes when attempting to update your mobile number. Despite the initial online allure during the insurance purchase, users are now required to physically visit a branch for a seemingly routine task. This not only contradicts the app’s digital promise but also adds an unnecessary layer of inconvenience.

The absence of a customer care option for mobile number updates is a glaring oversight. For an app that emphasizes mobile-centric access, the lack of a virtual solution for an essential account detail raises questions about user-centricity and adaptability.

As a nri customer, i lost access to my mobile number and now i have no other option to login , customer care people have no clue about application and asking to update details going to nearest branch.

App is very slow and buggy

App is slow and laggy. I was not able to put an underscore in my email ID !! It allowed me to put other symbols like dash : hyphens but just did not take underscore !!

Also it does not open up various links when I click even on the Home Screen like adding a medical policy to my profile.
