The BEST Meditation App Available

I’ve tried them all - all of the meditation and guided imagery apps. I’ve even had meditations specially made and recorded just for me (yes, I have issues). My therapist suggested that I give Headspace a try. I spent about a month using the free version of the app, and it is good. I really liked it and recommend it for those who don’t have the money to spend in the full app. However, if you do have the money and are just looking for the right app to spend it on, Headspace is it. Search Over. It has beginning meditation courses (and intermediate, and advanced), a comprehensive course for those with anxiety, it even has meditations for those in need of focusing in sports. It has a meditations part (I use it multiple times a day), a movement part (I’m going to get to that - soon), and, my personal favorite, the sleep part. There are sleep stories, sleep music, special meditations to help you get back to sleep if you wake... I feel like I could write for an hour and not cover all of the features of this app. Yes. The pay version is not too cheap, but it has been so, so worth it for me. I don’t see how I could go a day without this app. They don’t push too hard for you to buy, and never ask for a review. It’s just that good.

Perfect for Healthcare Workers amidst the pandemic

I’ve been in respiratory therapy for 8 years. 3 of the last years I’ve been at a trauma hospital in Los Angeles. Because of everything that has happened in 2020, and the tension in hospitals being at an all time high, I’ve had mild to moderate anxiety. I’ve always been a stress ball growing up, but it has never manifested in my physical body until this year. NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STRESS. As a healthcare worker, I am strong but I am not invincible, so I had to switch my lifestyle up. I’m now taking herbal supplements, taking Epsom salt bath every other day, exercising (most) days, and making sure to get some sun. Meditating has really helped me so much. I’ve been doing it pretty much every day for the past few weeks and it has helped me accept my emotions and worries without being too hard on myself since I can sometimes be an overachiever. I bought the annual subscription because I wanted to invest in something that would help me practice feeling peace in the chaos going on at work, in the world, and just my life in general. This app has allowed me to feel calm and practice being mindful of the moment. Download this app and make it a part of your daily regimen to meditate! Especially if you’re an essential worker.
