Hearing Helper is specifically designed for anyone trying to talk with HoH (Hard of Hearing), Deaf, or ESL (English as a Second Language) friends and family.

Simply push and hold the mic to translate speech-to-text with Apple's Siri technology.

Tap to quick-edit incorrect words. And make anything you say BIG!

Hearing Helper sits in the background of your conversations, so you can focus on what's being said.

Users love it:
“Just so you know, this app has changed my 86 year old mother's life. It is simple and easy for her and her friends to use. This is so important for the elderly since so many other apps are way too complicated. She can really have one on one conversations, especially with me, which is so very important.”
- Mark M

Doctors trust it:
"I use this w my HOH senior patients when the hearing aides aren't even enough to compensate for the hearing loss. This works great. I have recommended it to my nursing/CNA staff to use as well.”
- Istariken

Hearing Helper is also really helpful for communicating with family and friends who aren't as comfortable speaking English but can read it well.

- Push and hold the mic for speech to text in real time
- Tap on the text to quick edit incorrect words
- Change the font size up to 100pts (That's big!)
- Simple, easy-to-follow instructions

I designed this app to help my family talk with my 100-year-old grandfather who's hard of hearing, and now even his roommate uses it to communicate with him!

If you find this app, I hope it helps you better communicate with your loved ones.

Easy to Use

I downloaded this app to be able to communicate with my husband and it works really great. I appreciate that it doesn’t pick up the Television while I am speaking. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because you have to hold down the button while talking. I will get used to this, I’m sure, and it’s not terrible. Also, if you accidentally tap the screen it brings up the keyboard. I don’t feel the need to go back and correct anything, I just repeat that word. Some of those mistakes are pretty funny.

Hearing Helper App

This has been wonderful. My 95 year old grandma lives with me and she is considered “deaf with hearing aids”. She has not always been this way and lost her hearing as she got older. The doctor said the bones in her ears do not vibrate anymore and there is nothing they can do. She does have some dementia and macular degeneration so learning sign language was not an option. I searched through several speech to text apps and this one is by far the best for us. She is able to clearly read what we are saying and can adjust the size of the font and also text to correct any misspellings that happen to appear. She goes to a day center while I work and the doctor and staff there have downloaded the app so they can communicate with her more easily. Before she was using a small dry erase pad or a notepad and it gets tiresome for us writing everything down.
Thanks so much for this free app! It has made a big difference in my grandmother’s quality of life.

Just what I needed! Thank you!

I love this app! This app allows my family and I to easily communicate with my 85-yr-old dad, who is extremely hard-of-hearing, even with his hearing aids. Before I found this app, we had to write everything down, which takes forever! I’m very impressed with how accurate the speech-to-text is (including with complex medical-related terms and people with various accents)!! THANK YOU for creating this app!!! 😊
