Hearoes presents an interactive auditory training platform designed for individuals with Cochlear Implants, Hearing Aids, or hearing loss. Our goal is to help you become more familiar with various environmental sounds and expand your vocabulary, including Ling's Sounds, Vowels, and Consonants, all while enhancing auditory feedback and providing clear progress tracking.

We've collaborated with audiologists and speech pathologists from hospitals to create an engaging and interactive auditory training program that caters to different stages of your hearing journey. Our aim is to boost your confidence and introduce you to new sounds.

Hearoes incorporates established assessments used in rehabilitation sessions and ongoing training but transforms them into gamified activities and interactions. This approach ensures that the training process is enjoyable and user-centric, making it less of a burden for individuals with hearing aids, cochlear implants, or hearing loss.

Our platform offers dynamic pathways encompassing five key modules and over 30 entertaining activities focused on different aspects of your hearing development:

- Environmental Sounds: Immerse yourself in various everyday environments, including the kitchen, rural settings, farms, and music, to become attuned to the sounds within each theme.

- Introduction to Words: Explore Ling's Sounds, High/Low Pitches, and a wide range of words with different syllables to expand your vocabulary and auditory recognition.

- Singleton Vowels: Engage in a variety of activities with varying difficulty levels focused on vowel sounds to refine your hearing skills.

- Common Consonant Confusions: Familiarize yourself with common consonant sounds in initial, final, and mixed positions through targeted exercises.

- Understanding Sentences: Progress through narratives set in everyday scenarios, ranging from video clips (offering visual cues like lip-reading) to audio with background noise. This module facilitates learning in comfortable settings.

Version 1.3.134

Thanks to everyone's feedback, the app is now further improved for version 1.3.134. What's New:

- Introducing more minimal pair words across vowels & consonants activities.
- New cleaner Dashboard redesign to help you see the different training options and pathways.
- Adding notifications to help you with your Daily Training.
- Further optimizations, internal tweaks & polished some rough edges throughout the activities and the app experience overall.

Not Working

Looks like a great tool, Got this app to help tech my two year old Granddaughter with implant. However, there is no sounds, Tried it on IPad & Iphone, same disappointing results

Thank you for your review and sorry to hear about the challenges you had regarding the sounds. iOS devices have a mute function which mutes the sound from some apps, including ours. We're currently exploring this situation further for our next update.

In the meantime, some iOS devices (mostly iPhones) have a hardware mute switch on the side of the device (above volume control). Otherwise, if your iOS device doesn't have a hardware mute switch (mostly iPads), please access the "Control Centre" settings on your device and turn off "Silent Mode" (bell icon).

If you're still having issues with the sound please email me (hello@g4h.net.au) and I'll look into this further. If you do play Hearoes and have sound again, it would be very much appreciated if you could change your rating to reflect your most recent experience with the app. All the best with your grandaughter's hearing journey.

Great Rehabbing

I downloaded several apps to help my rehabilitation after getting implanted. Hearoes is my favorite. A different app had uncommon sounds, and the words sounded wrong. I couldn't play them more than twice to hear the difference. This app lets me repeat the sounds as many times as needed after I get something wrong so I can better train my brain to recognize it. The sounds are common, and I can do scenarios that mimic real-world listening. The games also help make it fun!

No pressure aural rehab

I just downloaded this today a few days after I received my processor for my new cochlear implant and this was just the encouragement that I needed. It is helping me see that though I have so much work left to do, that I am already starting to hear SOME distinction that I wasn’t convinced I was hearing. It is still just a bunch of beeps that I am hearing but somehow I am still scoring a little better than I would with random selection. I needed this boost of confidence
