“HeartMate 3™ LVAD augmented reality app” is highly interactive augmented reality based application, which assists doctor to educate patients about heart failure and how left ventricular assist device (LVAD) helps such patients to overcome it.
This application is divided in to 4 sections. The 1st section will provide an overview of heart failure. This section will show how a normal heart functions and what happens in heart failure. Also, brief information on functional and lab assessment parameters, which will help patients determine whether they should be considering mechanical circulatory support like LVAD.
The 2nd section will show how a left ventricular assist device or LVAD can help patients with advanced heart failure live a longer and fuller life. This section briefly explains how an LVAD functions in heart failure patients through high-end animations. Also, shows how the centrifugal pump helps in pumping the blood throughout the body with the help of eye catchy animations.
The 3rd section of the application describes various parts of the LVAD device. In this segment the patient will be able to explore different parts and how they function through highly interactive 3D animations.
The 4th section will show a patient sharing his experience about LVAD. This will have actual patient testimonials in the form of a video.
