Helen Phelan Studio is a growing digital library of pilates, cardio, and restorative recovery classes + workshops. Rooted in body neutrality and the principle of self compassion, HPS delivers all the calming, vitalizing, and restorative physicality you want from a movement practice without any of the body shaming, fear mongering , and guilt you definitely don’t. ALL BODIES ARE WELCOME HERE: HPS is a safe space for ALL sizes, ages, races, genders, ethnicities, sexualities etc. Everyone deserves to feel good. Helen Phelan Studio is here to de-normalize negative self-talk, and prove you can feel strong body and mind and STILL be kind to yourself (and others!).

Helen Phelan is a 600+ hour certified pilates instructor, Institute for Integrative Nutrition coach, and reiki 2 practitioner. Helen is passionate about helping people to heal their body image through movement and find joy and pleasure in food. Her method is creative, anti diet-culture, trauma informed, Health at Every Size aligned, and designed to enhance your intuition to feel better on and off the mat. Helen is dedicated to improving the collective body image and diet culture issues within the wellness industry by proving that fitness can be good for both the body and soul. The fact that we are prioritizing body acceptance and appreciation doesn’t mean you won’t feel this work-out. The HPS method is designed to elicit STRONG sensation to encourage improved body awareness and mindfulness while strengthening and mobilizing the body to unstick any energy we don’t need, and make room for feeling good.

Pilates
Helen's approach to pilates is breath paced, technical, and high sensation to encourage improved somatic awareness and presence while empowering you to feel stronger, longer, and more balanced.

Prenatal + Postpartum Pilates
There is nothing in the world that requires more athleticism, stamina, and patience than motherhood. So workouts for moms should be actually challenging! Pilates for moms is muscle building, pain relieving, and most of all safely designed by Helen, a certified prenatal and postpartum corrective exercise specialist.

Cardio
Quick sweat sessions to do when you need a boost or add on to your pilates classes get your heart rate up, bring you back into your body, and energize your day.

Stretch + Release
Targeted foam roller and massage ball releases and stretches for the specific pain points as well as full body stretch classes for when you need to listen to your body and give it some love keep your muscles recovering and help ease the tension, prevent injury, and relieve achiness from working long hours, traveling, or sitting for prolonged periods.

Collections
Curated class programming like "Pilates for Runners" or "Meditations for Self Love" allow you to work towards a specific goal with guidance from Helen.

Workshops
Take a holistic approach to your health with workshops from Helen and guest experts in supplementary healing modalities like reiki, meditation, hypnosis, tarot and more to help you feel better, body AND mind.

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscription will renew automatically each month unless canceled within 24 hours before the end of the pay period. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time by going to your Apple ID settings. You can turn off automatic renewal in your account settings at any time, but you must do so before 24 hours of the current pay period.

The motivator I needed!

A long time follower of Helen and her practice, I was very excited when she launched her app during Covid. It’s been a strange year for all so having her voice guide me through thoughtful yet tough workouts has been a much needed pleasure. Her knowledge of movement and the body is prevalent while she motivates you through the exercises — talking you through not just the how to but the why. She offers modifications for when you are looking for something extra and for when you may be struggling to get through the end. New workouts are added each week (don’t sleep on the cardio — short, sometimes impact based circuits to get you sweaty. I find these the easiest to knock out when I’m having a tough day or finding it hard to stick to a routine). On a technical side, the app is very user friendly and easy to navigate. I love being able to save my favorite workouts (given the load of content, this is very handy!) Thank you Helen for continuing to motivate and remind me to take time for myself. Potential new Helen fans & users: you will not be disappointed!

A new industry standard - highly recommend!

I’ve followed Helen for a long time & recently subscribed to Helen Phelan Studio for pilates based workouts. A few things I love about Helen: her workouts are rooted in the concept of body neutrality which means she wants to ensure that you are working from the right places and being mindful in your movement. She also knows her stuff. As a former dancer & pilates professional myself, I can attest that her teaching style, cues and overall movement progressions are next level. Her workouts are also well- rounded & challenging! My glutes were VERY active in my class this AM. She stands out in the very saturated wellness space by giving wellness seekers a workout that benefits the whole being. Helen is creating a new standard in the wellness space and I am here 👏 for 👏it. Worth every penny.

The Best!

I first found Helen on Instagram and after doing a few of her instagram workouts I knew I had to join her online studio. Not only are her workouts great (seriously- I actually have fun) but as a person recovering from an eating disorder, I really appreciate that Helen centers working out around feeling good/growing stronger and not around loosing weight. As for the actual App, it’s great! It’s easy to navigate and there are even monthly “themes” (e.g. Healthy Hips, Core Control, etc) which I love because its helped me hone in on/focus on strengthening parts of my body that I often overlooked (I had no idea hip strength was so important!). If you’re on the fence just try it! I’m so glad I did
