This early learning app introduces children to number knowledge in an exciting and novel way. The playful features enchant them into an imaginative romp, teaching that numbers are delightful, friendly characters relevant to the real world. They come away from this richly layered app recognizing numbers as their friends.
This app accompanies the book Hello Numbers, published in 2014. The book includes stickers and a physical decoder in the shape of Zero that allows children to uncover surprises hidden under numeric patterns. The physical decoder will do the same for the coded items in this app. If you do not have a copy of the physical book, then the coded features can be turned off.
Parents: check out the parent guide on the last page of the app.

"Hello Numbers is a simple little app that introduces young children to the numbers zero to nine in a compelling and age appropriate way. Whereas the very idea of numbers and mathematical thinking can be off-putting to children, this app helps redress this view and make numbers cuddly and welcoming." - The Educational App Store
"Transitions are directly related to learning about time and space…in that activities are measured and have a beginning, middle, and end. And that is an important factor in learning about spatial and numerical content. Toddlers and preschoolers need expectations to learn about time." - Teachers With Apps

Ratings and Reviews
Numbers come alive for children (and parents too)
My younger cousins adore this app! This fun and friendly app is a great way to introduce numbers to young children. The app compliments the associated Hello Numbers book and has a fun decoder for discovery. The music and colors are engaging and kids can learn about number associations in everyday life. I would recommend this app to anyone with kids! There’s a lot of educational value here.
Wonderful discovery number learning app
What fun for children to play with numbers in a new and novel way. Great concept to counter math anxiety. Get the physical book so you can impose the coded features on Zero's page of the app to decode hidden pictures with the zero decoder in the book and this associated app. Low tech meets high tech.
