I got this game on a whim after watching a commercial for it over the holidays. It was the best iPhone purchase I made. Heroes Charge is an addicting MOBA-esc game wherein you raise your Heroes to battle through a campaign, go on crusades, loot treasure caves, or even take part in friendly pvp. The graphics and sound compliment the gameplay so you do feel immersed when you do play. A lot of people will see the stamina meter and the few micro transaction options and be put off, but you don't need them to enjoy. I played for over a month before buying something, and it's because I wanted to not because I had to. You also gain incentives for purchasing by scaling your VIP Ranking. The best part about this is that it doesn't throw off balance between you and other players. Purchasing gives you an edge, but not much of one that makes you completely over-powered. Gaining heroes comes naturally after you get into full motion with questing and arena pvp, and no hero is out of reach. You truly feel like you earned it when you do unlock an 80 cost hero. You may be wondering if the heroes you unlock early game will be relevant late game, well I can tell you that they are. Your heroes will always have a use no matter how high your level gets. To close this review I would say this game is definitely worth a look at. I hope you enjoy.
After a bit Ucool starts charging 20 dollars USD for every purchase regardless of what you put into it. I've tried to to tell the company about this, and they reply with sarcastic remarks about how they can help. Don't put your energy into this game, it's a waste of money and time. I became a guild leader almost level 91 and I'm deleting this app right now, don't download this app, they will scam you and rob you slowly. STAY AWAY from Ucool and heroes charge! The company is only interested in stealing your money when you're not looking, they are crooks and will steal 20 bucks at every instance you try and support their game. I hope I save at least 3 people from these crooks. It makes me sad I spent so much time and effort into creating so many teams only to realize how dumb it all is... I wish I never knew Ucool and heroes charge, they are criminals who will eventually steal your money and waste your time. I am reporting them to American Express ASAP about fraudulent charges, and hopefully the iTunes Store drops them. Enough of their million dollar super bowl commercial spots from robbing their loyal customers. F UCool , and F heroes charge, robbers, criminals, scammers, and I hope I saved someone from downloading this app. Don't do it, it's a waste of money and time, read a book or something, this app makes you stupid and charges you with fraudulent charges regardless of what you do.
The good - Hero’s Charge is an interesting and dynamic game. It has casual PvP meaning while you fight other players, you don’t lose much (e.g. there’s no griefing or camping of players). When someone raids you, you basically lose a small part of what you were gathering/farming so there’s a benefit for raiding others but you never get crippled like some games. While you can spend a lot of money if you want, the game doesn’t feel like you are crippled if you don’t. The devs seem to be adding tweaks and new features to the game (although related to monetization in many cases). The bad - The game is essentially dying because as servers fill up, and people can’t join them but get sent to new ones. As players leave the game (stop playing) others can’t join, and the number of active players there just declines - while many types of raiding are cross server, guild and server level quests and activities don’t so it becomes next to impossible to complete guild activities. If the publishers would clean out stale account records (or discount them from server caps) this problem would go away. In theory you can migrate to servers but only to older ones (which are presumably full). There is very little info from the devs on these capabilities. If you are looking for casual fun, it’s a great game but by the time you get intellectually invested, you will likely hit a wall and become frustrated.
Dear player, thanks for your feedback, which is a guiding beacon to our game to be the best. We will report this to our team and work harder to improve your game experience! Thanks for your cotinuted support.
At this point, the game has been out for so long that you will literally have no opportunity to be a top player in game. All other reviews are mostly accurate that the best players all pay hundreds of dollars, if not more. You can play free and still acquire decent heroes and skins, but the length of time it takes to complete will be maybe like 6-12 months depending on your dedication to get one skin. This game was indeed a lot more fun and competitive several years ago before skins, before artifacts etc. But if you start now, you’ll be so far behind the curve that you’ll need to spend a ton of money on gems just to get your team level up. I still play every day but it has become a lot more of a grind and feels more like work than fun these days. Also feels honestly like there is too much of a focus on releasing new heroes and new game content frequently than refining what already exists. There is no need to have new heroes every month. You could instead offer something to help customize current heroes or something that requires a level of skill to play. If you want a game to quietly grind and play out a story on your own, this will work. If your competitive and want to pvp others and be the best, most likely will not happen without an absurd amount of real life money. I’m level 109 for reference.
Heroes Charge is similar to the Heroes &Titan game, but it seems a bit more challenging. It also has a bigger grind once you get to level 70 and higher. The good thing is you don't really need to buy anything. I've been playing since May 2015 and haven't paid a cent. I'm actually going to purchase some diamonds next year just so I can support the devs, but I really don't need the diamonds. The VIP levels are nice bonuses and will help you level a bit faster, but they aren't really needed. Joining a guild is a must though as it opens up new raids and a new store with heroes' stone to be purchased. Heroes stones unlock new heroes and that's one of the main goals of Heroes Charges. Like Pokemon, you want to get them all eventually and level them to their highest level possible with all the enchantments. Overall the game is great. Their last update however caused some bugs. There is missing text everywhere and the game constantly crashes now when you play. It never did this before. A new patch was just released today, so hopefully everything is now fixed. The game is still worth trying if you like this type of game. Update: The new update didn't fix the problem. Appears to be a server and memory issue. It's weird. I can signin fine and everything is fast. SometimesI CAN launch a trial, campaign or Arena battle and they run fast. But during the action it will freeze and crash. Still crashing 90-95% of the time. UCool says they are working on the issue. It affects. IPads 1,2,& 4 and some mobile phones.
Okay...first off, this game is a money pit...if you want to be competitive, otherwise, like some have said, it doesn't cost you a cent...why would it, if you just sit around waiting for it to give you stamina to be able to play? Stamina accrues at a measly pace, and even with the gems they give you for free, which aren't "given out like candy" considering you cannot buy anything worthwhile for under 500 gems...the amounts they give you aren't even enough for that unless you save for a few weeks at a time... Stamina refills are available for less than that, but guess what? You have to spend to earn that "perk" which also functions on a rising scale the more you purchase... The game is designed to be psychologically addictive and when you really look at the game, you realize you aren't doing anything much like playing a video game... It's mindless chores that give the appearance of actually doing something enjoyable, and what really boggles my mind is that people are so fooled that they vehemently defend this silly "game" all while being fleeced by the developers who really aren't providing anything more than a plagiarized clone of another developer's hard work and efforts. Don't download this game unless you are willing to fork over money on a weekly basis if you want to remain competitive. If you don't, then why are you playing this game? I suppose for the mediocre mindsets out there, this game does fit the bill. You know who you are...
