Description

A connected cooking experience - Hestan Cue is a video-guided cooking system that automatically controls temperature and time, every step of every recipe. Our smart cookware, induction burner (sold here https://www.hestancue.com/product/hestancue) and recipe app all communicate with each other using Bluetooth® technology and embedded sensors — automatically adjusting the cooking temperature and time as you proceed through each recipe. Hestan Cue is your coach in the kitchen, walking you through each recipe step with video guidance. Try new dishes. Learn new skills. Elevate your cooking without fear of overcooking or underwhelming. Cue doesn’t cook for you – It helps you cook better food, more often.

VIDEO-GUIDED RECIPES
Hestan Cue is the most dynamic cookbook ever written. The recipes within our app are created by world renowned chefs. From the best grilled cheese on Earth to black bass with dill and caviar emulsion, Cue walks you through each step with video guidance. So even if you’ve never julienned an apple, you’ll see exactly what to do. And we’re continually updating with new recipes to elevate your cooking - step by step, dish by dish.

COOK WITH CONFIDENCE
Hestan Cue automatically controls the vital variables: time and temperature. As you proceed through the recipe, Cue dials in the optimum cooking temperature for each step. From porterhouse to duck breast, just tell Cue how well done you like any particular cut, and it automatically adjusts to your preference - so you can always count on that just-right sear and doneness.

MIX & MATCH
Cue also gives you creative control to cook meals around the ingredients you have on hand. Select a main ingredient and pair it with the sauce of your choice. Keep it simple or make it special.

PRECISION TEMPERATURE CONTROL
What temperature is “med-high”? Or “high”? With Cue, you get the exact temperature you need at that exact moment. Crispy salmon skin is best seared at 435 degrees. Cue eliminates the guesswork through each step of every recipe. Take your skills to the next level and cook up your own creations with Cue’s freestyle mode where you can manually set and maintain specific temperatures using the app.

COOKING UP THE FUTURE
Hestan Smart Cooking is inspired by the kitchen of the future - and those who want to cook in it. We continue developing and devising new tech-enabled products to take us there. But we’re also obsessed with making the right tool for the job, not just using technology for technology's sake. When we combine science and culinary craftsmanship thoughtfully, it makes the art of cooking more enjoyable. Our goal is to help you cook better and inspire you to cook more often.

Beautifully choreographed videos amazing recipes!

I bought the Cue several months ago, and unfortunately have not used it much as our lives have been super busy, however...the ease in use, how to videos as you are cooking, the cues to add ingredients, to stir, simmer, turn and sear are helpful! And the ingredients in most recipes are not difficult to find. Every meal I’ve made with the Cue so far has been delicious. Also a fan of sous vide cooking so am happy to see recipes incorporating this method, and even works together with the joule! Awesome!!

One suggestion/request: Can you add a bookmark/favorites option to the app for each recipe, so we can easily find the recipes we want to make?

Developer Response ,

I hope you find a little more time in your schedule to Cue up some good food, but it's great knowing the times you've used it had nice results!
The "bookmark" feature you mentioned is one of the more frequently requested additions. I'm happy to report that planning has already started for inclusion in a future release of the app. :)

Needs landscape mode on iPad, and better options in cooking

Not supporting landscape mode on the iPad is a serious flaw, rendering the app basically useless on that device - using the iPad on a keyboard stand is the common orientation for kitchen use. I see a previous comment from the developer that landscape mode is “planned for a future upgrade” - but that comment was made in January, and it is now July. When cooking, I want to be able to tweak the cooking times up or down, and I want to be able to repeat previous steps - both so that I can adapt the recipes to thicker or thinner cuts, or to allow for other variations. I do not buy the explanation of no back button made by the developer in a different comment that there’s no back button “because we really don’t want you to overcook your food” - the cook time is my decision! I’d also like to see a larger range of joint recipes with the Thermomix, with better explanation on the Cue app side of when the different steps are performed on each device.

Not being able to preview the cooking steps with their videos is also a significant drawback.

High Quality Cookware

The cookware was worth the money. High quality pan made of stainless steel. You can use metal utensils without scratching it. Unfortunately, you can’t use it in the dishwasher. There are countless recipes in the app and they have all come out perfectly. I have had some connectivity issues and discovered some app bugs, but the customer support has always been very helpful and gets me back cooking ASAP. I would recommend this product to anyone who likes cooking and making delicious meals.

Developer Response ,

We're always happy to help if there's any problem!
We've heard feedback about the generation 1 pans (not being dishwasher safe, etc) and have recently released generation 2 which are! I think your Cue experience will be even better with the new version cookware. :)
