Intelligently done

A very informative app giving in-depth information on a limited number of sites. This is useful not just for the visitor to Florence but, even more so, for the student of the Renaissance, sitting in his or her armchair, who wants to learn more about the culture and day-to-day life in the greatest citiy of the Quattrocento. Entertaining, visually interesting and instructive, in equal measures. Well done!

Truly Awesome Content, But…

I discovered this app while in Florence, and absolutely loved the content and characters — so much so that I’ve listened to a few more since returning home to Chicago. The “but…” is that there’s room to improve navigation, both on-the-street and within the stories. When using the app on the crowded, unfamiliar streets of Florence, it would be helpful to be able to zoom in much more and better read the street names on the Modern Day map. Instead, I found I often needed to toggle between this app and Apple Maps to get myself from one point to the next. It would also be helpful to be able to rewind a bit within a narration. If, say, I was distracted and missed a portion of it, the only way I could sort out to re-listen was to go back to the map and tap to start over. So, all in all a great app with great content, but could stand to better take into consideration real world use on the busy streets of Florence.
