Send Future messages as reminders for all things in your life. Repeat messages to match your schedule. Never forget anything again.

Type a message, select a time/location, and press "Send".

Your future self will receive the message as a reminder, a note of encouragement, or motivation.

Tap on a delivered message at any time to easily snooze or reschedule.

Select to repeat your messages hourly, daily, weekly, or yearly. Your repeating messages will arrive to match your schedule. You can also pause and resume repeating messages with one swipe!

No accounts and no internet connection is needed for HiFutureSelf! Your messages are stored locally on your phone and keep you fully in control.

HiFutureSelf is not a to-do list. There are no checkmarks or badges. No need to remember to check it. The messages will arrive in the moment, right when you need them.

Keep your Delivered Messages in Sync via your personal iCloud. Your delivered messages will sync across all your devices using your iCloud account.

HiFutureSelf is designed for the small moments in your life. A grocery store visit, remembering names, encouraging yourself to work out, or a reminder to send a text to a friend are some great examples! What kind of messages would you send your future self?

HiFutureSelf is designed to be simple and intuitive. Try it out, it's free! There are no ads and no tracking. I made the app for myself, and am sharing it with the world. Let me know what you think!

I think this is an awesome app. I have suggested it to quite a few people with busy schedules. The only thing i wish it would do is have a shorter repeat cycle than 1 hr. Being a blind user i depend on the sound badge to pull my attention., i could be away from my phone etc. other than that this would be a 5* App for sure.

Excellent Single Purpose App

And Now for iPad!

Thank you to the developer for listening to my suggestion for an iPad version. Now works perfectly in landscape mode. This app does exactly what it says. Write yourself an email for a reminder sometime in the future. It will show up right when you need it.

Updated update (yeah, I know): I was contacted by the developer who tells me that an update with iPad version + landscape mode is coming soon. Thank you.

Review Update: I have completely stopped using this app because it will not work on an iPad in landscape mode.

• Here’s a request to the developer (whom I have previously contacted via email on this issue). Please adapt this to iPad and landscape mode.

There are a large number of people who would use this app if it would work in landscape mode. For any type of writing or written communication I use an iPad almost exclusively. I use a keyboard. I use something other than Hi Future Self that actually works.

Previous review (was 5 stars):

This app has been around for awhile, but now with and update. I have been using this for a long time. I often send email reminders to myself that arrive days, months, or years into the future. It saves me on anniversaries, or birthdays, or other distant events.

Of course if you think that current politics will result in a destroyed planet you won't need this app.

Native Reminders light

This is a nice looking light version of Apple’s native Reminders app.
Thank you for listing reminders in chronological order. This makes the app useful if you have more than a handful of reminders.
Please consider adding iCloud sync and a search function. Since there is no Contacts integration please expand the recent list of GPS locations from 3 to 10. Also useful would be an option when entering a geofence for a delayed Notification of 5 minutes to an hour. For example, when you break the geofence you may still have to park or ride an elevator so you may get to your office 15 minutes after breaking the geofence. I used this feature on an old 32 bit app that I can no longer run. It was very useful.

Developer Response ,

Thanks, Kplan23! All great suggestions. I’m so excited to add these features. Keep an eye open for updates over the next few months 😁
