After the recent flooding in Houston which also resulted in casualties I thought there has to be a better way to avoid flooded areas. High Waters is a crowdsourcing app which uses the power of public to keep everyone safe. Simply, shake your phone to drop a pin on the map, indicating a flooded area. Other users of the app can see the dropped pins and hence avoid the flooded areas.
Hopefully, High Waters will prove to be beneficial to the community and provide useful information so that people all around the world can avoid unsafe areas.
- Works worldwide

- Click on the pin to see the exact name of the street where the flood has been reported

Help each other to avoid flooded areas!
Disclaimer: High Waters app does not provide any warrantee that the areas on the map are not flooded.
* Dropped pins are deleted after 6 hours

Hope this works
Please tell me this app is accurate. I am in houston and going to try to rescue someone. If it does i will sing your praises.
Does NOT work
I tried several times to make this app work and it failed. It is a good concept but doesn’t work. I couldn’t drop a pin or even put in my address to my home to see if there was flooding on streets on my way home.
It doesn’t work
I shook the phone and it’s says you gotta wait 25 seconds but after that I won’t do anything
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
