Description

Join Hilda and her friends on their mission to discover, befriend and collect all the weird and wonderful creatures of Trolberg and the surrounding Wilderness!

The enchanting world of Hilda Creatures awaits. Based on the hit comic series by Luke Pearson, and now a Netflix Original Series, this is the start of your own adventure alongside our blue-haired heroine. Place items and wait to see who shows up: will it be a tiny Elf, a fluffy Woff or maybe an enormous Troll?! Watch the creatures play with the items, chat and picnic with them, then capture the moment with your camera! Meet them all, collect memories and new friends, and fill up your Friendship Book.

Choose where you want to explore
Just like Hilda, you can wander the Wilderness or take to the bustling city of Trolberg. Each is home to many interesting spots such as a waterfall or quaint town square. Visit one and try laying out some items - perhaps an irresistible snack, some pretty flowers, or a snazzy jazz record?

Assemble an inventory of interesting things
Is your backpack empty? The Wood Man is always there to trade with… Don’t worry, he’s grumpy and indifferent with everyone. The Wood Man accepts the acorns you’ve collected as payment for all kinds of knick-knacks.

Entice all manner of creatures with tempting treats
Use carefully selected combinations of items to attract Woffs, Trolls, and other peculiar creatures. They might even pop by when you’re not around and leave a present - how thoughtful! If you catch someone while they’re visiting, you can get to know them better over a chat or some food - if they’re cute and fluffy maybe all they want is a little pat on the head.

Document your memories in your Friendship Book
Bad-tempered and destructive, or sweet-natured and calm? You’ll encounter all sorts! But most importantly, see if you can catch them in a funny pose for your photo collection.

Highlights
Two maps, the Wilderness and Trolberg, with 10 idyllic locations to explore
Place items to attract creatures while you play or while you’re away
Cute characters from the comics and Netflix Original Series - with new faces too!
Tap to talk, pet, and picnic with creatures

Daily missions and other Achievements mean you’re always expanding your Sparrow Scout badge collection!
Play the Dragon Cards mini-game for exclusive items!

Good grief, there’s so much to do… But such is the life of an adventurer! You’d better get going if you’re going to be home before the troll rocks come to life….

I really enjoy this game but have a few issues.

I love the Hilda T.V. show and was happy to find a game based off it. The game has the shows style and characters in it as well as new ones and is cute. The animation of the characters is smooth and I the different locations are cool. I also like the music. Although the game overall is nice I have a few problems. The first is how there is a lack in variation of what some of the characters say when you interact with them. For example, most of the elves say the exact same things over and over again when you meet them. Another thing I don’t like is how Hilda, David, and Frida keep giving me the same items from there bag almost every time I see them. I have like seven of Davids box of rocks and I can’t get rid of them. I also have a huge issue with how quickly the plants die. I could water my plants before I go to school or bed, and come back and they will be dead or close to it. It is annoying to have to keep replacing my plants, only for them to die. I had a lot of acorns but now I have only a few because I have to keep watering and replacing the plants I lost. It’s also upsetting how expensive some items are. Some of them cost hundreds of gold acorns and it’s very difficult to get that many without paying real money for them. This game is fun and mostly well made but these problems are frustrating so for now I rate it four star, but if these are fixed in the future I will give it the last star :)

Hello i hate mayo, thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review. We've got updates coming to improve the planting so please keep an eye out for that in the next couple of weeks :) Thank you for your other points too, we have plenty more planned to bring in more variety in the coming months!

Simple yet fun

I hadn’t had any issues with crashing until this last update (Jan 10). And now I can’t even open it. I’m sure they will fix it soon enough though.

As for my experience so far; I am at the max level (level 50), I have met all but 3 or 4 of the available creatures, I’ve opened all the levels (with the exception of the most recent one), and I’ve collected nearly 150,000 reguLar acorns.

That being said I have a few suggestions. I wish there was a way to exchange a large amount of regular acorns for some golden ones or a way to purchase golden acorn items for with regular acorns (maybe at a larger markup to balance things out). I also think it would be nice if items indicated which category of creatures they attract (friends, elves, animals, etc.). It would also be fun to have a larger variety of food items. For a while there I was given a challenge by the Woodman to reach a 50% friendship level with a troll but I saw based on other review responses that it’s a glitch and that you should delete that challenge. I think it would be cool to add adults to the character lineup in addition to Hilda’s close friends (her mother, teachers, and the weather scientist possibly). I think it would also be cool to include the ghost teenagers too. Other than that I think this game is really fun and has a lot of potential. I love the art style.

Hi ReginaPhlangeBananaHammock (excellent name btw), and thank you for being such a dedicated Hilda Creatures user! We're working hard in the studio to get a patch out asap - in the meantime it may help to close background apps and free up some space on your device. Thank you for your patience and for all the thoughtful feedback.

Love the game overall, but

The tv show is adorable, my whole family loves it. I got the game to play with my kids and in general we think it’s really cute. However they got pretty bored with it after a while. It’s set up so that you have to go back and play every so often throughout the day. Otherwise the food runs out or the plants die. Replacing plants gets expensive, and the watering is pretty frequent. Without them though, you don’t attract the little creatures. Frequently they die or the food runs out while we are asleep. We also miss a lot of creatures by sleeping. Also, the creatures say the same things so often that the kids grew tired of it.
It seems they just did an update that has added some variety of play and my kids are interested again. Getting the little bits and bobs and curious as to what they’re for has peaked their curiosity.
Overall a very sweet little game, however the time constraints are frustrating. I don’t want the kids to have to play every hour or two to keep things going. I wish watering and feeding was once daily.
