Start your Hipstamatic® Makers Club membership with a free 7-day trial. Once the trial is over, you’ll be charged an annual subscription fee. Your Hipstamatic® Makers Club membership will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can go to your Settings > iTunes Account & App Store > Apple ID > Subscriptions to manage your membership and turn auto-renew off. My Experience With Hipstamatic X
Now a Lifetime member of the Hipstamatic Makers Club, I installed "X" the day after it was released, signed up for the 7-day free trial. Wanting to experience the app on its own merits, I uninstalled "Classic", then I put "X" to test. After several days, I reinstalled "Classic" and all the HipstaPaks (literally, ALL) I had previously purchased. "X" connected to those purchases and made them available within the app through the Classic Gear button on the Camera Shelf. Once the free trial ended, I still retained my "Classic" gear.
Things I like: (1) the developers are extremely responsive and helpful throughout; (2) Hipstamatic X is strictly a shooter (you CAN edit photos shot within the app); (3) a good UI; (4) quality photos; (5) simple to use. Plus, I can still use "Classic" on its own too. I'm trusting this app will have good support and quality updates.

Only thing missing is letting us use our own presets?
I know there is this idea that we will just take photos with this app, but when you let me import a photo I like that I shot with Camera+ or something, and allow me to apply *your* camera presets to the photo, but don't let *me* apply the camera preset that *I* defined myself, I think I must be missing something.
Either remove this edit feature entirely and demand we only take photos with our/your camera presets, or just finish the job and let me import something I composed and exposed in another camera application so I can apply my sweet framed tinto 1:1 preset so I can have some continuity in collections of images I share. 🤷🏻♂️
p.s. I'm paying the membership, but I don't think I will for much longer. I'd rather make my own preset in Lr or something like Snapseed. Between Google and Vsco having film simulations that are identifiable, the novelty of using "Kodiak Orca" or something wears off pretty fast.
