Great App for Traveling!!
If you’re looking for an inexpensive Airbnb, this is the place to go! This app is first, true to its title. It allows you to exchange your space at pretty low rates. Second, it gives you the opportunity to build rapport before sharing. You can establish relationships with whoever you swap with so you’re more than just strangers. Third, it allows you to swap outside of the country. If you are a US citizen planning to go to Asia this app is still a great place to look! Fourth, this app not only allows you to share, but there is also an option to host only. So if you were not up for a swap and you only want to host, you have that option. Finally, the app design is beautiful and the navigation is simple. This is definitely a great travel app.
Definitely scam-y and a terrible app to go along with it
I got an account a couple years ago when i first heard of this and quickly saw that it was a scam — there were only a few postings and they all had similar language, I reached out to a few hosts with no response, then I posted my own fake listing.
I came back to it today out of curiosity, and as many of the “real” reviews state, the app fails to let you log in lol. I got it working on web after some struggles, and there are more listings now and they seem more realistic, but none of the “popular listings” have reviews, and I went to book a popular one which had a notification saying I was lucky, it was usually booked, but of course it was showing as available every day into the future. My fake listing was still up and had no interactions. It’s a laughable claim they make that this a product with “over 1 million users”.
So a it’s a poorly made app for a poorly run scam. Kinda funny to browse around I guess. But yeah, don’t give them your money lol.
Best App For Traveling
I was in Dubai with only the first half of my trip booked and had issues finding hotels in the area but I checked out Holiday Swap and found an amazing penthouse loft that was within my budget without hidden fees and enjoyed the rest of my stay! The app was easy to use and communication with host was great. Will definitely use for my next trip and highly recommend.
