The baseball and softball scorekeeping app for iPhone and iPod touch that works like a pen-and-paper scorecard and looks and feels like a built-in app with Home Field Advantage™ and Player To Be Named Later™ features to let you sit down and start scoring right away to create scorecards, game logs and box scores to print and share!
Use it online or offline -- no online accounts or hidden fees needed to score games at any level from Little League to Major League Baseball. Don't worry, you own your own data (unlike some of the "free" scoring apps.)
The focus of Home Field ScorebooK is to capture all of the plays, as quickly and as intuitively as possible. Player and team stats are recorded, but not yet displayed. Don't worry: they'll be there in a future release!
IN FUTURE RELEASES:
• View, save and share player and team statistics
• Share game updates on social media
• Make changes to completed games
• Use advanced rules for softball, youth and recreational leagues
• And many more features...
Updated to the latest iOS look and feel and for rule changes in the 2020 MLB season.

Needs an update, expand to MiLB rules
It’s been awhile since an update. Lots of great things, but a couple of enhancements would be nice.
Needs an option related to extra inning MiLB games. During MiLB games, the most recently retired batter begins extra inning games on second base (an effort to increase scoring/decrease game times). Anyway we can add this option during extra inning games? A simple “yes/no” prompt to add a base runner to second base would be awesome.
Still one of the best score keeping apps out there. Thanks!

Thanks for the feedback!
Uniform numbers can be changed in the current version of the app, but only from the Team Info screen: tap Edit and then the player name.
Expanded box score stats (with all of the categories published by MLB) are in development and will be in a future release of the app.
The California (or International) Tie Breaker is already on the roadmap — we will try to squeeze it into the next release for MiLB and softball/youth leagues. Thanks for the feedback!
Decent but needs work
Pros: Can add a tremendous number of players to teams so if you want to score a Spring Training MLB game or if a team just has a lot of players, this app can handle it. Can add various leagues so you can score your kid’s baseball game and an AL MLB game with the DH. You can also assign multiple home fields to teams if you want/need to. Pretty cool extras include Pat Venditte mode to accommodate the rare switch pitcher situation. Support is pretty responsive also which is uncommon.
Cons: Very buggy. I tend to set the lineups for MLB games when they come out 2-3 hours prior to game time and by the time it is time to start, players are just missing. This happens often. Lots of tediousness as well. Once the game starts, you can not view the batting order and the app uses an Undo button for correction however you can not go back to a certain point and make a correction so you have to hit Undo NUMEROUS times to correct. Also, it is overly complicated to handle classic NL double switches.
Overall, for a pay app, I expect more. There are some great features but it needs to be more user friendly and intuitive. Feels like work to use this app. Not a great replacement for a paper scorebook and overall does not make things easier to score digitally.
Usable, but needs more options
I have used the app for several years but there are 2 glaring problems for Little League. If you play in a league that allows a coach to play standard 9, or 10 with extra hitter, or bat all and put any 9 in the field...good luck. You must tell the app in advance how many players BOTH teams will be using. If they have 12, and you have 10, you will have 2 ghost batters in your order that you must advance past each time that they come due. If you have a 5 run rule...good luck. Very glitchy to end the inning when that run scores....sometimes the next inning will lead with the batter that got the 5th run in, other times it will be the proper batter, (God help you if it is the aforementioned ghost batter). Further complicating this is my league allows unlimited runs in a teams last at-bat. A simple addition to the “other play” tab would be “end 1/2 inning x run rule”.

These are good suggestions, but we haven’t yet figured out how to include all possible combinations of youth rules!
Ending a half-inning early is supported, though. Please submit a report on our support page (tap Help under the Settings tab) and we can look at your problem leaving the batter at the plate.
