Homeaway is less an less usable at twice the cost
This seems like a great place to give homeway and Vrbo reviews.
About the apps. :
Their apps are so bad and the mobile site so poorly developed that you have to search down 15 items to get the "current" app. The homeaway phone rep will give you the link, but be warned you still need to switch over to the App Store to see it after you get a blank browser page.
The "current app" for owners is called "owner" and about 1/4 way down the list. You are forced to uses this as homeaway locks your mobile access and requires app update from just a few weeks back. Do not try the main app again ... Just results in another luck out.
I am recommending all users go offline with billing to protect yourself from yapstone/ fraud.
You will be sorry if you wait for a guest to cancel at the last minute, losing thousands in lost reservation fees. Homeaway will NOT protect or cover you in these losses even though they now charge near double the fees.
Check it out, google yapstone and homeaway to see how little support you get as a owner with a contract during a credit card disputed charge. Even when the traveler is in default of contract you lose, and homeaway takes money from your account!
The online billing model is just a new Paypal with less banking laws/restrictions/ethics.
Please motivate shared housing site to offer lead services only and remove the cash flow!
Called support about being prompted for account number, was told they don't have account numbers and transferred, then told I shouldn't be asked for an account number, then told to delete and re-download. 3 people and no one seemed to care when I told them that this same issue had multiple complaints and that the app had terrible ratings. Another time waster brought to you by HomeAway.
Please update for iPhone X, my notifications are not working, when do you think this will be fixed? I use this app for work and not having the notifications working is very inconvenient, I have sent emails, talked with your customer service department and nothing! What kind of company are you people running??
