Homehealth care agencies across the country are fighting lower reimbursements and staffing crisis while caring for their patients. The national average for submitting RAPs has been 12 days from the SOC. The first penalty on failure to submit a RAP timely would be equivalent to 17% of the episodic payment, and in case of a LUPA, all visits performed prior to the submission of the RAP will not be reimbursed.
