HomeRun is HomeKit like you've never used before, bringing fast scene control to your Apple Watch on watchOS 6.
Featured by Apple in "New Apps We Love" and "Great on Apple Watch". Named MacStories Select Best Apple Watch app of 2019.
"If you are using HomeKit devices and have an Apple Watch, try HomeRun; it’s become one of my favorite ways to trigger scenes." - MacStories.
• Scene Grid
Lay your scenes out in a grid, making it easy to remember where and what each action is. Launch HomeRun and just tap to run a scene!
Run scenes from your Watch faces with the ability to link a complication to a scene. Customize a complication for every watch face to maximise control of your Home.
• Daily Routines

• Siri Watch Face Support
Set up a routine for the Siri Watch Face, sharing what you want it to suggest at given times of your day.
Customize your grid of actions to make them usable at a glance by setting colors and icon for every action. Choose from over 4460 icons or emojis.
HomeRun requires watchOS 6 and is not compatible with the first-generation Apple Watch.
This update fixes several issues.
- A recent update marked the app as independent from the phone due to a bug in Xcode. We have implemented a work around so that HomeRun continues to function.
- You can now correctly create time based complications without crashing.
- Complications on the Apple Watch Series 6 and SE now correctly show.

The HomeKit app the watch was missing
I’ve tried a lot of different watch apps for quick HomeKit actions, but most of them have a long list you have to scroll through to find your actions. Not anymore! HomeRun lets me arrange a grid of icons to quickly turn on/off scenes at will. It’s responsive and gets the job done perfectly.
The new daily routines complication only extends its usefulness further by letting me quickly access the scenes I need most, when I need them, right from my watch face. Apple could take a few notes from this app!
Update: Sorry, I have to drop my rating again. The watch app is back to being mostly worthless (unless you re-configure everything). Per developer responses to previous issues, I opened to phone app to see if it would resolve the “sync issue,” but no. The complications open the app, but tapping anything just beeps. It seems that all my “linked actions” are now “unknown.” I guess I can re-associate all of them, but it seems kinda ridiculous that I spend more time maintaining these than the time these shortcuts are saving me.
Update: I’m increasing my rating because one of the issues described below was apparently a bug on Apple’s side, and the developer is very responsive.
I bought this app based on the good reviews, but I’m not seeing what all the praise is for…
I set up my shortcuts and tried to arrange them, but once a shortcut is placed side-by-side with another, you can’t pull it back out onto its own line. I contacted the developer, and they confirmed, “This is a limitation of the current grid system that the app uses. We are working towards a fix for version 2.” Seems like pretty basic functionality to miss.
Then for the past few days when I went to actually use a shortcut, my watch just dinged (and the action didn’t run). I just tried again after launching the app on my phone and it worked, so maybe there’s hope. But it’s obviously not reliable, so it kinda defeats the purpose of the app.
Maybe version 2 will actually be usable…
Developer Response ,
Sorry to hear you are having issues.
A recent update forced the watch app to run independently from the phone which can cause syncing issues. This was introduced due to an Apple bug. Simply launching your phone should have synced over the newer identifiers to help make it function.
Innovative Apple Watch HomeKit app!
This app is a top notch Apple Watch app that lets you program one touch actions to trigger HomeKit scenes from the Watch app itself or from complications.
The new time based complications feature is great and sets this app apart from all other watch apps I’ve seen. You can set it to automatically change the look and functionality of the complications on the watch face at specific times throughout the day. Super useful!
If you’re into HomeKit at all, just buy this app now as it is well worth it for its modest price.
